I'm still getting used to putting it in and taking it out. Personally taking it out is more difficult than inserting it but I'm getting used to it with every change out. the fact that I can have that bad boy in there 12 hours and not be concerned about leakage. GAME CHANGER. so much better than tampons. and good for the environment?? win win win.

I started with a Lumma Disc (it came with two sizes) but that was not working for me. It just seemed all smushed up in there no matter what way I positioned it. I then took the period nirvana quiz. I wasn't sure how to answer a couple of the questions, but I was matched with a small saalt cup. This is so much better for me! It's maybe not 100% leak proof but I have only had it for a month, so I am maybe still learning. Also it is quite difficult to get out, I wish that part of the design could be a bit improved somehow. But this is feels like about as good a fit as I will find maybe. It is very comfortable to wear. I have a tilted uterus, per a doctor, if this information is of use to someone.

I'm still in the learning period with my saalt cup, but I really like it! (I keep liners and tampons on hand just in case.) My only con is that when I have heavy days, I have to empty it more frequently. After I get the hang of using this cup (because it fits well), I'll look into purchasing one with a higher capacity.
I didn't know that a menstrual cup was an option until 1 year ago. I eventually read more about them online and found Period Nirvana's YouTube channel. This product is a game changer!

It is the first time I have used anything other than a pad.. So I was a little nervous.. But I have to admit this is the first time that I've waited and hoped my period would come soon lol.. The videos I found on the insta and YouTube made the first use so much easier, the cup went in and open with such an ease I was sure I was doing it wrong hahah.. Once in it is very comfortable, at the beginning I had the sensation that it was there, and unconsciously clenching everything "to keep it in"... But after few hours I forgot it was there and everything felt right. I'm on day 2 of my period and haven't had a leak, so that makes me happy. The more I use it the more comfortable I feel with it.
A tip: if you are not comfortable with your body and "maneuvering" things down there it might feel a little weird for you since at least for me, the taking it out part needs a little "diggin" (high cervix and short fingers seems to be the winning combo lol) but nothing painful or uncomfortable just unusual :)
I recommended it if you have issues with liners and pads (over the last months I developed an allergy because of the heat the pads caused and it began usually on day 2 of my period) or even if you want a more eco-friendly option than tampons. :)

First time user and this was the online quiz recommendation. Pro: I was able to go on a 5 hour hike (plus 1 hour driving each way) and dinner without having to deal with changing a tampon multiple times Con: 1) Some minor leaking that was probably user error. 2) Apparently I have a really high cervix (I put that in the quiz). It was impossible to reach and pinch the cup to break the seal, I could barely even touch the stem. It was frighteningly difficult to remove both times I tried it. It's probably a great option for some, I'll have to try something else.

I actually liked the Saalt cup much more than I expected. I've only been using it for one cycle so far. But its been pretty great. There have been some minor leaking, but I expected that as I get to know the cup and figure it out. It opens much better and seals much better than my Diva cup. It is also easier to reach to remove for my higher cervix days. Definitely going to be continuing to use it.

Bit of a learning curve, but once I got the hang of it, it was super easy. So glad I don’t have to worry ab changing my tampon every 3-4 hours anymore.

It was way easier then I thought

Honestly I thought it was really nice, it was WAY more comfortable then the giant tampons I had been using! I have a really heavy flow and once I got the hang of the cup, takes a second to find the perfect schedule for dumping it out based on flow, it worked really well for it! I worried it was going to be hard to put in or take out but honestly after one or two tries it’s really not bad at all. Very happy that I made the switch!

I’ve always wanted to try a cup because I was always worrying about leaking. This works great with a heavy flow and I don’t have to find time to change tampons during class or activities. There are only two things that are taking some getting used to. 1, I can sometimes feel it after inserting it, which never happened with tampons. It’s usually fine because I know it’s still suctioned and I can usually fix it by just sitting or squatting. 2, it’s pretty messy to remove. I expected that, but you’ll need to get used to it. It wouldn’t be great to empty in a public restroom, but that doesn’t really seem like a problem because I only really have to change it 2-3 times a day.

Amazing super comfortable and flexible!

Trying a menstral cup for the first time was very intimidating for me but after just one period using it I can't see myself going back to pads! Only had one small leak from not getting a good seal but other than that it went perfect. I love how long it can stay in without any fuss. So happy with my purchase!

It was good, I think it fits right because it does suction but it does leak some and I have to wear a pantie liner. Which is annoying because I really don’t want to wear any pads atall

Why did I not try this sooner. This is so much better than tampons. Never again. Buying my daughter one ASAP!

I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis, which actually explains a lot for me. I’ve used almost solely tampons ever since I first got my period (yay for starting it the day of a swim meet!), but lately tampons had been hurting more and more to insert and remove. That wasn’t fun on top of how cruddy I usually feel during period. (Plus I was frankly sick of having to continually purchase them.) So I decided to try out a menstrual cup—and I have never been happier that I did! It took a bit of practice (and watching videos in different folding techniques) to get good seals, but the difference of a period on a menstrual cup versus on tampons is astounding. I didn’t realize just how uncomfortable I was with a tampon in (and I swear I was inserting it correctly because I could eventually forget about it) until I literally forgot I had a menstrual cup in within minutes of inserting it. And taking it out was painless. It’s safe to say I reached nirvana!
The Saalt cup small definitely works well for me. I have to empty it more frequently on heavy flow days, which I’m fine with, but the size of it is perfect for me. I didn’t even have to trim the stem! Cleaning it and sanitizing it is a breeze, and the most difficult part is keeping my cat from playing with it when it’s drying (he gets into everything, I swear). Thank you so much for the quiz that helped me find this product! It’s definitely changed how I experience my periods.

I did experience some leaking in the beginning, but after playing around with it the cup is the perfect replacement for tampons/pads.

The Saalt cup is my definite go to!

The packaging was amazing, but the instructions were a bit unclear as a first time cup user. The images could’ve been more detailed, and I think more steps would’ve been helpful.

What do you need to know to prepare for having a period cup? Here’s my story. Buckle up.
First, I asked my husband if he’d be opposed to me boiling my cups in a pot to avoid that fight. Lol He was fine.
Then, I ordered it. It took some extra time for them to arrive, but I got a coupon code in exchange! Worth it.
Next, I took to TikTok and the blogs on period nirvana to prep myself. I also enlisted the help of all the women in my life. None of which have used a cup before... so not helpful.
I saw that I could practice prior to my period which had my type-A-ass excited!
I started by inserting the first time in the shower. It just seemed right. I don’t know.
After an hour of really getting to know my vagina and how to make it shorter and longer in forty different positions, I removed it! Not before my husband called my mom and asked if this was worthy of taking me to the emergency room. Yes, actually.
After this attempt, I gave my lady parts a rest and tried again after a few days. This time, I still struggled, but it for easier with every attempt.
Finally, the fateful day of my period arrived! I’d practiced FOUR WHOLE TIMES for this. I was ready.
I inserted that sucker like a champ! I texted all my friends who are awaiting my reviews and told them of my triumph.
When it came to removal, I was confident. I was cocky. I was... clumsy. Dropped that shit right into my fresh pee in the toilet. Isn’t that what tweezers are for anyway- fishing things from gross places?
I was not discouraged. I washed that puppy and got back to the task at hand!
After wearing it a full day and not worrying about needing to be near a bathroom for 12 hours, not having a single leak, not worrying about peeing and getting a tampon string wet or having a rash from a pad, I was sold. Done deal. I’m converted.
P.S. I am someone who has severe cramps and always has. On this one period, my cramps have lessened. I’ll keep evaluating to determine if the cup is the cure.

First time using it yesterday, high cervix.
I still struggle with getting in as far as I can but I will say it’s fantastic !
No leaks, you feel clean on your period, & comfortable (keep trying you’ll get there) !
It’s not “nasty” it’s just blood in a cup. Just rinse it and you’re fine.
I LOVE IT !

Love my saalt cup!!
