Long review but go to the last paragraph for my experience with the cup. I have used cups for almost ten years and once I started I never looked back. Diva cup has been my go to but I also love organicup and meluna soft. However, I have never been able to use a cup when I’m cramping the first couple of days which sucks because those are the heavy days where a cup would be the most beneficial. I turn to cloth pads on those days which is not ideal.
I never wanted to give menstrual discs a try because I was intimidated even when I am a pro at cups. I also have a very high cervix so I was nervous I would never be able to reach it. I finally purchased a disc and it had a stem but it was WAY to large and firm. I also hear the stems can break after a year which defeats the purpose of buying something you want to reuse for years to come. Also I knew I needed that stem for my high cervix so that made me nervous.
I liked the size and firmness level of the diva cup. I already knew the silicone would be high quality if it was anything like their cups. The tab seemed convenient too but I wasn’t sure I was going to reach it with my high cervix.
I got the disc and I tied a sting to the stem just in case I couldn’t reach it. This helped me feel more relaxed and not tense from the idea of not being able to reach the disc. I inserted it with ease and I can actually reach the stem! Inserting and removing is a breeze because of the tan and the soft disc doesn’t make my delicate flower sore. I love the disc so much that I know have a collection of cups I have loved throughout the years that are collecting dust. I will still use them when I know I need to change my cup in a public restroom, but even with that I might try to find a way to use the disc still. I can’t feel it, no suction, and no cramps! It is WAY more of a mess to remove the disc and your hands will be a bloody mess, but this is totally not a deal breaker for me. Inserting and placing the disc is way easier than the cup and I thought I would never say that! I can’t give a review on the spill guard because this is the only disc I have ever tried so I can’t tell if it does anything compared to one without it. I have thought about buying another and cutting off the guard to see what auto-dumping would feel like. Anyway, I am truly obsessed and I will most likely buy another as a backup.
Thank you periodvana for introducing me to this disc and giving me the confidence to try a disc!

I am an experienced cup user but first time disc user. It took me days and many videos to learn how to insert this properly. Despite my best efforts, I struggled to tuck. I only wore it semi-comfortably once. And the removal is quite the mess even though I was careful. I have to admit this thing is huge (I measured my cervix and it's normal). More power to all the ladies out there who can wear this. To even consider that there would be room for play time with this in is crazy to me. Guess it's my body.

Amazing! The size and shape work so much better for me and the leak guard is a game changer.

Great for my low cervix! I tried the hello disc, and although i love the drop tab it was too rigid and large for my body. The diva disc is just soft enough I'm not constantly feeling it. I have a heavy flow and I feel like it does well with volume. The loop makes removal sooo easy!

Diva Disc is the disc I dreamed up in my head a few years ago. I wanted to love it, but it didn't work for my body (which is a me problem, not the disc). If Diva Disc came in another size that was smaller, I would love it. Along with the Diva Disc, I have Saalt Disc Small, Lumma Medium, and Lumma High. I had issues with Lumma Medium slipping out/not staying tucked behind my pubic bone. I also had pain inserting it and it in my body, which I assumed was a size and/or firmness issue. I have chronically tight pelvic floor muscles, which can make me quite sore often. This makes firmer discs not great for me, for comfort. I also have a smaller vaginal canal/fornix than most. I don't have a low cervix on my period, it's actually quite high. But, I don't the space for a "1 size fits most" disc.
I love the more oval shape of the Diva Disc, vs round. I love the removal "tab" and I love that it's not super firm. I also love the color, as most other disc colors stain. Unfortunately the length is just too long for me. The Saalt Disc fits a lot better for me, but I don't love it's firmness and the removal notch (the Diva Disc "tab" is much better). I hope in the future Diva has a smaller sized disc.

This review is for others with a high cervix looking for a loop removal. The diva loop is much harder than the hello tab to grab with one finger to remove if you can barely reach it, because there is not much space for your finger between the loop and rim, so you push the loop up and out of reach instead of getting a grip. The advantage is there is no tab to tuck like hello for circumstances where that is needed—-but it still is not a good choice for a high cervix despite the loop.

The diva disc, AMAZING! I have try the Hello disc and Flex cup and those two are awesome but so far the Diva disc is been great! It’s comfortable to use, easy to put it and take it out, same like the other ones controls my period cramps, def more comfortable to wear since the tab or the part that you use to pull it out is more soft and comfortable and it stays inside as the day goes bay and you can wear it up to 12hrs! So far I am so happy with it!

Loved the idea behind the Diva Disc, but it fell short. I tried a disposable disc that I got from a friend to see if I even liked the concept of a disc. It went pretty well. tried it over Night removal while difficult I was able to do. Fast forward to getting the Diva Disc, insertion was a little harder because the silicon was not as rigid. Once inside it was great the pull tab was what i thought reachable. I slept in it and upon trying removal I about had a panic attack it would not come out. I have stubby fingers and it was hard to reach the loop it was also very stretchy. While good in theory did not work well. I had to have my husband help me remove it. Too bad I bought 2 and can't return my unopened one. They were also a lot smaller than the disposable due to the oval shape, I don't know if that had something to do with it or not.

Very pleased with the product and #periodnirvana! The quiz was helpful and shipping was fast.
Background & Experience:
My first ever experience was with the FlexDisc and it never fit quite right, was a little too large for my body and would not stay in place. Then I took the quiz and since have used the Saalt small disk. It fit and worked well, just was at times a challenge for me to remove. With the new options of the Hello Disc and Diva Disc I wanted to upgrade to something with a removal assist. After watching the super helpful informational videos on both options, I chose the Diva Disc only because it is a touch softer and smaller in size (from the shape difference). I'm so glad I trusted myself because after other discs, removal this cycle was a no-mess breeze.
TLDR: highly recommended, works better than expected.

Best purchase I’ve ever made. I started using a disc about 5 months ago. I first tried the Hello disc because the removal tab made switching to discs far less daunting. It did take me a couple of cycles to get the hang of it. I did like the Hello disc, but even once I knew I was inserting it correctly, I was having issues with it coming dislodged and I could feel pressure on my bladder. Right as I was starting to wonder if the Hello was too big/firm for me, I saw the Period Nirvana video reviewing the Diva Disc and ordered one right away. It has been truly amazing. Inserting it and removing it is a lot easier for me, and I cannot feel it at all once it’s in. I haven’t had a single leak and it’s truly like I’m not on my period. (For reference, I’m 5 ft tall and just generally petite, it seems reasonable to me that I may have a vaginal fornix that’s on the smaller side, and that’s why I needed a disc that was a bit smaller and softer.)

I have finally reached period nirvana with the Diva Disc!
I’ve tried several cups and, while I finally found out what works for me, it wasn’t a great experience. I have a narrow vaginal canal so I need a very soft and small cup or it hurts like a mofo. Still, I didn’t like the experience of cups because, upon removal, it was always very messy to empty due to the mixture of discharge and blood not wanting to let go.
So I decided to try discs. I purchased a white label small and soft disc because I was close to giving up and it was cheap. Wow! It was nearly a perfect experience except for removal. Removal was like the scene from The Shining (you know the scene).
So I decided to try this or the Hello Disc. What convinced me to choose the Diva Disc: Kim’s review stating the Diva Disc is softer. And I am so glad I followed that advice. The Diva Disc fits me PERFECTLY. No leaks at all. When the disc starts getting full, I feel the pressure and discomfort similar to that of a cup. For that reason I think a disc that’s larger and or firmer wouldn’t be an option for me.
10 points to Gryffindor/Diva Disc for knocking its out of the park with their disc.

Have been a DivaCup user for years, but recently started dating someone long-distance and didn't want to sacrifice intimacy during our limited time together so knew I needed to try a disc. First tried the Nixit disc, which was much too large for me and wouldn't stay hooked behind my pubic bone, so thought I'd give this a try. Was a little hesitant about the handle and whether my boyfriend would be able to feel it, but I liked the idea of the oval shape after my problems with the circular Nixit. I ended up using my DivaCup the first two days of my period, which are the heaviest, because I was traveling and didn't want to risk leaks with a new and untested product, but we were able to spend that second night together so I switched to the Diva Disc before we met up. Intercourse was absolutely fine, but when I got up later to use the bathroom the disc has clearly leaked and the only reason it hadn't made a mess was that I was lying down on my side. I dumped it and reinserted it, and after that it was fine for the next 3 days and didn't leak again, but also my then my flow was pretty light. The last two days I just left it in without checking it as I usually do with my cup, and when I went to remove it the handle had spun around and I had to get it out the old-fashioned way, which was fine but that also meant that the flap to keep it from auto-dumping wouldn't be in the right spot either. I also explained the whole cup / disc situation to my boyfriend, and later asked him if he was able to feel the disc during intercourse, and his response was, "yeah a little, does it have a handle?" So I could definitely use it again, but I think I'm going to try some other options for both my peace of mind and his comfort.

Absolutely love this disc! Fit like a dream. Stayed put. Absolutely NO auto dumping. Easy insert and removal. 100% clean remover every time for me as well. Absolutely 100% recommend anyone to start here on their menstrual disc journey.

The Diva Disc gets 4 stars because I don't hate it, and it's functional, but it's not period nirvana for me. I wanted to try this one since I'm experiencing some leaks that may be related to auto dumping. Some pros and cons for folks wondering:
Pros: I find it really easy to hold folded for insertion (this could be difficult with the Hello disc for me), the rim to pull from is pretty easy to reach still despite being much closer to the actual rim of the disc
Cons: smaller diameter than I was expecting, still auto dumps despite the shield, a little more effort to empty and rinse, *really* easy for me to dislodge from behind my pelvic bone (I think because it's slightly less firm than the Hello disc)

I really like this disc! Comfortable and easier to remove with the pull tab. Fits my body better than the round ones I have tried so far. I can use the bathroom with no leaks! I have a low to average cervix and I'm happy this fits so well and doesn't cause bladder discomfort or increased cramps for me! So glad I bought it!

This thing is amazing! It inserts so much easier than the Hello Disk and it’s really soft and comfortable. The removal tab is also way less annoying that the Hello Disk due to the low profile nature of it. Its shape seems to fit my body naturally, and the leak proof top means I haven’t auto-dumped into my pants at all-thank god! This thing is awesome.
Kelly M.
I like that this disc has a handle to help pull it out. I tried two other discs right before this (am just starting to use them in the last month). One of the other discs got stuck. The other was too big. This fit like a glove and was easy to get out.
Kimberly M.
I’m a 35 year old mom of 1 (9 year old) and this was VERY comfy and I love the pull tab and flexibility/softness…
But the shape is not right for me. It’s too small and I had major leaks.
Kristina L.
Weird shape so it leaked.
Alicia K.
Love the diva disc so much!

I have been using the ziggy disc for a couple years but didn’t love it and had issues with auto dumping especially after having kids and when I saw your video about the diva disc I knew I needed it. I am on day two of my cycle and it is everything I wanted a disc to be, super easy insertion and removal and no issues with leaks due to auto dumping. This disc is a game changer.
Anna C.
Amazing. I love it so much.
Nicole
I liked this disc in theory, but it has some flaws that make it unusable. I still auto dump despite the lip, it comes out of place every time I have a BM which is super annoying, and it leaks when crouching making a mess. It’s comfortable and didn’t get in the way during sex, but without it staying firmly in place you can depend on it without a backup.
It’s one of the few options available in Canada. I find the Saalt disc a better option.
Sabine
The disk is smaller than the disk I have tried. After inserting it would move making it uncomfortable to wear. I have tried it for 2 cycles and it doesn’t matter how far up or over my pubic bone I set it it just never stayed in place.
Kayla C.
I have been wanting to try a disk for a while and learned about this particular model. I liked that there was a little handle. I am a heavy flow girl, and I usually wear cups. But this is so comfortable. The auto dump thing was confusing at first. But honestly I think it makes me more aware of my pelvic floor ( I’m a newish mom).
But I’m loving it. I will say, if it’s your first cup… be prepared to get your hands dirty. It’s a little messier than a cup.
Michelle B.
I waited to post a review until I'd tried it for 2 cycles. I think it's good for lower-flow days, and it definitely stops the auto dump. But because it's small, it doesn't hold enough for my heaviest day, so it overflows and the flap just gives it a ramp LOL. I use the nixit for my heavy days and this one for the lighter ones. It is very easy and non-messy to remove and I really appreciate not looking like a murderer emerging from a public bathroom stall.

So I have only used a Cora Disc before which I love, but I honestly do not enjoy the auto-dumping aspect and also the Cora cup is a little more firm so sometimes it can be hard to insert it. I loved this Diva Disc! No auto-dumping and it is also softer so easier to insert! The tab can be a little difficult to grasp, but still easy to get out and was a little messy at first until I found the right angle. Definitely worth buying!

I absolutely loved the design of this disc, but ultimately it was just too long for me.
I loved how soft it was, the loop made it so easy to pull the disc out, the reservoir was soft enough to catch blood during removal, absolutely no rotation, and is generally a lovely experience.
But it keeps slipping out of place when I change positions, which causes leaks on my heavy days. 68mm is too long. I am not part of the "most" when they say "one size fits most." Luckily, there are other companies that don't believe in a one size fits most approach, but none of them do any kind of loop yet.
It's such a comfortable disc that I don't even feel it when it slips out of place, only when it leaks.
I hope Diva eventually puts out other sizes of discs. I would rebuy in a heartbeat.

I wanted something with an “easier” insertion than menstrual cups, and the flexible Diva Disc did just that. It does not suction around the cervix so there was way less moving it around to make sure it was in place correctly. SO comfortable for all day wear! Highly recommend removing and inserting in the shower

I loved using this disc. I’d rate it an 8/10 because it did everything it was supposed to do but i did auto dump once (when the disc was full) which isn’t a big deal to me but it is something to note. usually i like to take my pointer finger and push the bowl part of the disc down but i wasn’t able to do that because of the leakproof shield. i have a high cervix even on my period and the loop for removal made taking the disc out a dream. i didn’t leak at all and the disc was very comfortable aside from some minor rubbing which only occurred when inserting and taking the disc out. overall, i’d recommend the diva disc and i’m looking forward to using it again on my next period. i can definitely say that i’ve experienced period nirvana thanks to the diva disc.

Best. Menstrual. Product. Ever. I have never used a disc before and I had a few concerns. First, I was afraid that I wasn’t familiar enough with my vaginal canal and pelvic structure to get it in the right place. I watched a few videos first (way better than just reading the instructions) and once I folded it vertically and started inserting it, it was pretty easy to find my pelvic bone and just pop the front up above it. Which helped me a lot with my other concerns such as would it be uncomfortable? I literally couldn’t even tell it was in there, and, for me, cups were always so uncomfortable. I also hated when I planned for a super plus tampon day and it turned out to be a regular tampon day and I ended up getting a cotton exfoliation treatment when I pulled it out. NOT an issue with the diva disc. No matter how heavy or light my flow was on any given day, the disc was comfortable no matter what. Another concern I had was with auto dumping if I bled too much. I was crazy surprised at how much it held so it never overflowed. Unfortunately that means I can’t really comment on how helpful the lip was in preventing auto dumping, HOWEVER, I can say that the lip made pulling it out way less messy than I would imagine a disc without a lip would be. Since this was my first disc, I was pretty clumsy taking it out the first few times but at no point did I get any blood on my hand. Plus, it created such a good seal that there was no blood at all in the canal beneath it. I even slept with it in and it never popped out of place or leaked. I really pushed it to the max and went a full 12 hours before rinsing it the entire time I was on my period and had no problems. I didn’t try to have sex with it in, but it’s not actually as far up there (for me personally) to feel like there would be enough room but I would be willing to try it. Aside from being environmentally friendly, I like that it was more comfortable than a cup, lasted longer than a tampon, was less messy than pads or period panties (I hate that squishy feeling) and it was honestly just awesome to have something I didn’t feel like I needed to change or take out every time I peed. Would definitely recommend. The loop made it super easy for me to take out as a beginner (took me a sec to figure out how to relax while doing it. Much more comfortable if you do). I feel like this is the best period product I’ve ever used.

I think this disc is a great concept… but i wish it was a little bigger capacity wise. I have a copper iud and my flow is pretty heavy. this disc didn’t hold over long and i was leaking pretty quickly. i think it’s a great option maybe for someone who has a light to medium flow! i’ll definitely be using it for my lighter days as it is so flexible and comfortable!
Kathryne L.
Much more comfortable than the nixit disc! Diva has a winner here
Carina V.
I got a diva cup nearly 10 years ago and love the fact that I never have to pull out a dry tampon again! More recently I got some other kind of cup and liked that it was softer silicone. Now I’ve discovered discs, I wasn’t sure how I’d like it so I got some disposable discs to try out. Turns out I’m an auto dumper, which I hate. When I saw the design of the diva disc I got excited! The extra membrane helps prevent auto dumping and now that I’ve used a disc for a few periods I’m really getting the hang of it. I love that using the diva disc reduces my cramping!
Faith R.
The diva disc is absolute perfection. The easiest disc to insert I’ve ever used, and the spill proof lip plus removal loop really makes removal mess free!! I can’t feel it inside at all and there is no pain with putting in/taking out!! Could not be more happy with this.
Marie T.
Absolutely love the Diva disc! The anti-auto-dump feature is fantastic and this disc doesn’t press on my bladder like cups do. This is gold.
Stephanie L.
The loop is really hard to get my finger around to pull out the disc. But i do love the auto dump stopper and how flexible it is!!!
Destinie O.
The Diva disc is smaller thank other discs I've tried and i just don't think that worked for me. I still auto dumped despite the shield, and i didn't find the loop to be that useful. But i am going to try it again next month and see if my opinion changes. Overall it is a fine disc though.
Shawnna W.
I was pleasantly surprised with this disc. It doesn't hold as much as other discs, BUT I'm able to dump before I get a what the gush moment. I was doubtful about the flap, but it worked! Maybe that and the slightly oval shape, it stayed in place. I thought the pull tab was going to be useless, since I know how to remove a disc without it, but it made for a mess free emptying experience. I am truly happy with this disc.
Ezme K.
I really wanted to like this because I love discs and dislike auto-dumping. However, the rim is far too soft. It's hard to insert and get it placed correctly. I'll stick with my Hello disc or Saalt disc.
