Cora Perfect Fit Disc

I loved switching to the disc! It was so intuative compared to the menstural cup. Maybe a little more messy with each trip to the bathroom due to it's self emptying feature, but I think it is totally worth it for the comfortable fit and ease of placement. No leaks!

Made the switch to a Cora disc a couple cycles ago and it's amazing! I previously was a Diva Cup user for about 10 years and I thought that was the best thing since sliced bread, never expected to find something that could top it. Then earlier this year I learned about discs online and I liked the concept, especially since I have cervical ectropion and have always suspected the suction of the cup might be a contributing factor. I started with a June brand disc because it was cheap and the first one I saw, and it worked fine, but as I read more about them and saw some many people raving about the Cora, I was intrigued. I liked the concept of the finger notch, so once I had used the June long enough to know a disc would work for me in general, I ordered a Cora disc. I think my one and only complaint about it is how messy it is to remove; however, that's not a Cora-specific issue, that's a disc issue. In terms of the pros, I like the color of the disc being a smokey gray, which hides discoloration. I like that the rim of the Cora is smooth (as opposed to the June, which was ribbed and difficult to clean) and really the whole disc has no crevices to catch gunk, which is great. I find insertion slightly easier with Cora compared to the June, though I'm not quite sure why. As a tip, I have found that if I focus on keeping the front end of the disc (the part that goes in last) as high as possible, then it scoops under my cervix almost every time. The Cora auto-dumps for me on its own when I pee if it's very full, and if it's less full then I've found I can bear down and force it to dump. I don't believe it completely empties at these times, but the fact that I can use a public or semi-public bathroom and not have to remove it is phenomenal! No worries about dropping it, no bloody hand! It also makes bathroom trips faster, since I don't have to fiddle with the cup, and in my case the disc goes right back into place after auto-dumping, so I don't even need to reach in to retuck, which is great. As far as removal, it's messy, as I mentioned, but I'm getting better with practice. I do find the finger notch to be helpful, though I can't use JUST the notch -- I have to bear down a little to dislodge the disc and push it forward slightly. Once I've done that, then I'm able to use the notch to guide it the rest of the way out. (In comparison, with the June I had to hook my finger over and into the disc, which was more difficult). I have also used the disc successfully during sex, and while both my husband and I are aware of it, neither of us finds it bothersome. So that's a win, because getting up to take the cup out and put it back in, plus dealing with the mess during was a real mood killer. With the disc, we just go about business as usual, no bathroom trips needed. Finally, one selling point of the disc was the higher capacity (I think it's 47 mL compared to 30 mL for the Diva Cup), but the jury is still out on that for me. I feel like the way the disc is "squished" inside it doesn't expand to its full capacity and it seems in practice to be about the same as the Diva in how long I can go before overflowing it. However, since it does auto-dump as I said, it's really hard to say for sure. Anyway, that was a long review but I appreciated detailed reviews myself when I was researching, so I've given as much info as I could. Definitely a Cora disc convert!!

Easy to insert and comfortable. Fits much better than my cup, does not slide down while working out which was main reason for switching. No problem removing to dump but it was messy.

I have been using the Saalt menstrual cup for the past 6 months. Although I have been satisfied with the cup, I wanted to try the disc. I chose the Cora Disc because of its reviews and notch for easy removal. I did not have any trouble inserting the disc. My first removal was a little messy, but not a big deal. Overall I’m satisfied with the product.

My Cora disc arrived just in time for my period! I followed a tip I heard, & put the disc in before my period actually started. I am an experienced cup user, having been using them for about 2 years now. I am very petite, so I was a bit worried at first. But I had absolutely no issues with the Cora disc! Went in like a charm, and was very intuitive for me. (Thanks for all the info vids to prepare me, Kim! You're awesome!) My period ended up being 3 days late. I wore the Cora all 3 days leading up to that. It was so easy! I get up at 4 AM for work every day. Remove disc, clean, put it back. And I didn't have to worry about it until the afternoon when I got home & took a shower around 4 PM. Then I could forget about it until I got up for work the next day. I was so excited to learn that this disc auto dumps for me, too! I just have to push a bit. Definitely not something that could happen for me by accident, even when working, running, or lifting, so that's lovely. When I wear a cup, I always wear a light liner as backup. With this disc, I only bothered to wear backup for the very first day. After a day with zero leaks, I ditched the liners altogether. I am so confident, no more liners needed! Not one single leak, not even a tiny one, for my whole period. I am amazed!! For me there was just one downside: super slow pee! I was never in any pain, or even discomfort, while wearing this disc. But when I peed, the flow was restricted to about one third the normal speed. So that was mildly irritating. As my period progressed, the slowdown seemed to lessen, although it never quite went back to normal speed. I attribute this to my cervix moving back up over time. I also recommend removing the disc in the shower on your heavy days. It will definitely tip out onto your hand, so be prepared for that! Overall, an amazing experience for me. Now, I'm excited for my next period just so I can test the Hello Disc to compare!

First time ever Disc user. During the day it was ok, super stressed so stil wore a light pad and for the most part no leakage. But at night I had major leakage on my heavy day. Not sure if it's the fit or what but for night time and heavy day did not work for me.

virtually impossible to remove. for me personally it is NOT worth the hassle. I may consider wearing it for period sex, but any other time i will stick with my trusty lena cup.

I don’t write reviews, but this disc is amazing! I have tried every cup out there, and they always cause me pain. I get awful cramping and bladder pressure. I tried the nixit, and I liked it, it was just too big. This disc is perfect!! It is like I am wearing nothing. I love it! I am 42 and have had two vaginal births, for reference.

I finally found the one for me

Life changing! This was the first disc I have ever tried, and it was completely beginner friendly! Pain-free in, pain-free out, and I can't feel it at all when its in! I couldn't be more in-love. I have a low set cervix (~44mm) that makes traditional cups painful and suction-tight. Also, I have a heavy flow, but with auto-dumping, I don't need to be constantly emptying it all day like I needed to with a cup. I was intimidated to try the disc at first, but I didn't need to be because the Cora disc is so user friendly. What I love the most is the thick rim because it really holds its shape and makes insertion feel just like a tampon. I would seriously recommend the disc to all women, but especially women with a heavy flow, this is the first time in my life I have been free from constant blood stains on everything I own! And the Cora disc was the perfect, worry-free way to begin this journey :)

I couldn't get the nixit disc to stay in place, but this Cora disc works so well for me! Only in my heaviest hours did I have trouble with leaking, which required frequent emptying and supplemental pad. However, this was only my second cycle using it, so maybe I'll figure out a better positioning. Since having an IUD, I wanted to switch from being a diva cup user to a disc. However, I found the nixit so frustrating because it would slip down immediately with the slightest cough or sneeze or anything really. I discovered Period Nirvana for some advice on it and was directed towards cora or lumma and I am really happy I tried the Cora. (I believe I have a medium spaced cervix.) Using tampons again was not fun, but this Cora disc is comfortable, easy, and environmentally friendly. And, I love the period sex feature of the disc too!

Do I understand how this disc works? No. Does it work? YES. Really well. My trusted Diva Cup has been out of rotation for the first time in years after using (and really liking) the Cora cup.

I got the Lumma medium and Cora last month in time for my period. This is the second month I’m getting to use it. Last month Cora failed me on my heaviest day, but it was my go to today when I started. It’s comfortable… I don’t feel it at all. I’ve had no leaks all day. There is a learning curve, but it much easier then the cup ever was for me. I always expected a leaked with my cup in all 4 years I’ve used them.

I’ve been looking for a cup as a sort of in between of my intimida ziggy (soft catch) and my lumma disc (firmer rim) and this was perfect! Less mess on removal than overall as well.

I can't believe how great this is! I had been using a cup for over a decade but I was having real trouble once I had my IUD installed. This product is totally comfortable to put in, take out, and wear all day. I don't even know it's there once it's in. AND THE MOST MAGICAL PART?! When I read "self emptying" I was like, "Yeah right. . .wtf does that even mean?!" Well, now I know and it's AMAZING. Just a little squeeze and the catch spills out, and then IT JUST GOES BACK HOME! A MIRACLE!! And it hasn't leaked once. I might just get to say goodbye to my back-up undies! What an absolute dream.

The Cora is the best disc I have ever tried! Previously I had tried the diva cup which takes a long time to get used to and make sure the suction is right. The other cup I tried was the Nixit but that is really too soft and hard to insert properly. I feel that the Cora disc is easy to put in similar to the Caya Diaphragm. I didn’t note that when removing the Cora you really have to bear down and dig a little bit to get it out but it’s still so easy to insert and so comfortable. Total period Nirvana!

I found Period Nirvana amazing, the package arrived pretty fast, and the extra information about the product is definitely a plus. The tin is quite big considering the menstrual disc size. I found Cora silicone beautiful, literally spotless, I do not see any single defect, it is really comfortable. It works for me!

I’ve been a cup user for 10+ years, but after I gave birth, the cup didn’t fit well and was always uncomfortable and sometimes painful. I bought the disc in hopes it would fit better because it’s placed differently, but it was the same level of discomfort because it was always slipping out. Very frustrating. I found some others online with similar issues.

This is my goldilocks disc! I tried the Nixit first and it was just too big. The smaller size of the Cora is a perfect fit for me, tucking right into place securely every time and not popping out ever--not when walking around, not when using the bathroom (no auto dumping, for better or worse), not when working out. The finger grip is a nice touch for removal. I just have to bear down slightly while pulling on the grip and it comes right out, no mess.

I like the look and feel of the disk. Easy to clean, but a little tricky to remove sometimes. I think the disk is a little to big for me as I experience leaks more than with the cups.

I love the cota disc!! I was a little nervous about trying the cora disc at first because I have tried the disposable discs in the past and unfortunately they never worked for me. I think the size of the cora disc is better and the softness of the disc is perfect. The discs rim isn't too firm or too soft just right. I have an extremely heavy flow so the auto dumping is a life saver!!!!! I can't reccomend this disc enough!!

As a first time disc user, this was life changing! I’ve tried a menstrual cup in the past, but it was uncomfortable. When I saw the pros of a disc vs cup, I was sold. I feel like I’m not even on my period with the Cora disc! Highly recommend!

I love this! The auto dumping is a huge advantage because I always felt weird about emptying my cup in the school bathroom. It also is much easier because I don’t need to take it out and put it back in. The little notch makes it easy to remove, but it is usually a little slippery and hard to grip. I love my new disc though!

The first time using it was a bit stressful. Even with the grip tab I couldn’t quite hook it with my finger and remove it BUT I can use my thumb and grab it around the top rim for removal. I know everyone is a little different. Removal problems aside I LOVE it. These reasons are why. 1. I can leave it in a lot longer than a tampon and no funny string that gets wet with urine…etc. 2. Period sex isn’t messy. 3. I have a vascular condition that makes my vaginal canal sensitive and cups have proven uncomfortable. I can’t feel the disc. AT ALL . This has been so good for me. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I didn’t purchase mine through this shop, but I benefited so much from the videos. I didn’t know you existed until after I purchased in store, but you helped me so much with learning how cups and discs work. On to the Cora disc review- I’d never used a cup or disc before, and bought on a whim. The only cup and disc sold in the pharmacy I happened to be in were Cora brand. I was so blue thinking about the wet-but-dry feeling of tampons and the sweatiness of pads, and as it was the day before my period, I figured ‘why not’. The cup did NOT work for me. I furiously googled and watched videos all day and it just wasn’t happening. But I’d also bought the disc. As intimidating as it was, I gathered my courage and tried to insert. A little difficult at first, and then I panicked, thinking ‘will I be able to get it out? Is it stuck?’ But I figured out that beating down made it easier, and I am a total convert! I don’t even notice I’m on my period. Despite my beginner status, I feel totally comfortable wearing it and inserting/removing. Never going back to pads and tampons. This is the holy grail. If you menstruate, this is necessary!

no leaks! been using a cup for years and loved it, but would occasionally spring a bit of a leak. absolutely no problems with the disc on my first cycle! definitely still feel a little uncertain that I'm inserting it correctly, but seems like it's going fine :)

The disc fit me perfectly! I tried the soft disc before this and recently the Tampax cup for the past 2 years. I eventually got tired of how uncomfortable the Tampax cup would be to insert and remove every month, even though, it worked just fine (barring a few leaks every now and then) so I decided to try out a disc again, this time reusable. There have been NO leaks and the rim is just a bit softer than the soft disc which is great! Love the indent for removal but it does make insertion just the tiniest bit more difficult, not even really noteworthy just something I noticed.

Slight learning curve from using the flex discs. This is a bit firmer and doesn't want to go in as easy as the flex disposable discs, however after practicing twice I got the hang of it. The little finger grip is nice, especially when the disc is slippery. It does move around, so while you are beating down you can turn it a little and find the finger space. Then you should be able to get a finger in to help it out. Otherwise this thing is an absolute game changer. Don't wait. Just send it.

I've been using a cup for 3 years, and tried the small Lumma disc before trying this one. I loved the comfort of the Lumma but it leaked on heavy days. I was surprised that the Cora fit comfortably since it was much larger than the Lumma and was the first product I tried that NEVER ever leaked. It was so firm that I thought it would be uncomfortable but I was actually quite comfortable at first. I noticed after many hours though that it was too large and made me a very sore and did put a bit of pressure on my bladder. Then I tried to get it out. I could not use the finger grip at all. I tried and tried and it was just going up higher and higher. It was so slippery and the suction was so tight. It was a long time and a huge mess before I finally managed to get it out. I tried again the next month, and sure enough, it did not leak, but once again was extremely difficult to remove and was definitely too large for me and left me with discomfort. However, it's worth it to have a leakproof day once in a while. Discs seem to be great but my next try is definitely going to have a removal string. I would go for this if it had an easier removal method, but that notch does nothing.

I love it no leaks. Just a little bit of pressure on my bladder. As a very active person I love that it stays in place very well.

Amazing I love that the rim is not too firm and originally my first ever use of a period disc was the Flex Disposable but the diameter was way too big and wayyy too firm that it was painful. Cora nailed it for sure I only had to take it out to empty it on one heavy day and I do have a high cervix and am a heavy bleeder. Cora went right in sat perfectly behind my pubic bone and I forgot so many times that I even had it in because I couldn’t feel it at all. I wore it at work and I do a lot of bending walking and squatting ant it never leaked or auto dumped which was my concern while squatting and it didn’t! I did not attempt to have sexy time with it as for me period sex is just off the table for my husband and I. I love the material it’s not painful or hard to insert the finger grip came in handy to help in pulling it out after the 12 hour wear. I did have to bear down to push the disc out but once I got a grip on it it was easy to pull out. It does auto dump which is awesome and then goes right back into place! I highly recommend this disc!!! It is my Goldilocks for sure.

This disc is amazing!!! 10/10 The fit is perfect for those of us who may have trouble keeping the larger discs tucked behind the pubic bone, and it truly makes for comfortable and mess-free period sex. I am amazed, and so is my husband!

I have had this disc for 3 months now and all I can think over and over is, "Where was this website when I was twelve?!?" All of the videos, reviews and quizzes led me to choose the Cora disc and I have reached period nirvana! I have a Diva cup, but I always felt my cramps worse with it. With the Cora disc I feel *nothing*! It is SO much easier than anything else out there. With disposable pads I have to remember to buy in time and in Summer they make me hot, sticky, rashy, and generally uncomfortable. With disposable tampons I fear sleeping in or getting waylaid when 8 hours are up and I again have to keep stock on hand. I have used fabric pads and they were more comfortable and I never had to worry about running out, but I did have to wash them specially. It was always a chore I hated doing. With my disc: I always have it on hand; it takes way less space than any of the options mentioned above; and clean up is quick and easy. I mother an active and curious 4 year old and take care of 3 elders. I don't have time to fuss and muss with stuff. I don't have time to go out to buy supplies. I use the disc when I need it. I have a 12 hour window to take it out and wash it, so I take care of it first thing in the morning and then at night when Child is asleep. No one bothers me and I am in my own bathroom (no dealing with the disc while I am out) At the end of the month I put it in a little pot and let it sit on the stove for 10-12 minutes. Boom! Done! Honestly, the Cora disc almost makes me feel like I have no period... now if only it could take on my cramps.

I've used this disc for three cycles now and I believe I found my forever menstrual product! Perfect firmness. The fold to pull it out is so convenient, to remove is a breeze. No more fear of tearing a reusable disc film with my long nails.

The Cora disc was perfect! I had been using the Rael cup, and decided to try a disc. I initially tried the Flex disc, and it was ok...but kept moving...I didn't know what I was doing wrong. I assumed it was too small...but the truth was that it was too big!! I liked the idea of the Cora disc having that finger groove (it's still messy to remove...I'm not sure there is any way around that)...but the smaller size was perfect...to the point where I don't even auto-dump...I have to WORK to auto dump! No leaks, comfortable, I love it! I've developed fibroids and have a very heavy flow on days 2-3...and this disc was the best option I've tried yet!

I've been using menstrual cups for 12 years now. I had been using a large Saalt cup for the last few years but its never been my favorite. After reading about menstrual discs and doing some research on the few currently on the market, I decided to try the Cora disc. Back when I started thinking about using a cup, I did try the disposable flex disc. Everything was going okay until I sneezed and flex disc popped out. The result? I had to crab walk to the bathroom and my pants looked like a crime scene. I was terrified of having the same thing happen again. My experience with the Cora disc has been wonderful. The only time I experienced any leaking was when I pooped. It was easy to insert and remove. My cervix is on the higher side but is sometimes lower towards the end of my period. This is perfect for those times. I have been taking bellydance classes for 14 years. I'm not 100% certain I would trust the disc during class or performances. A lot of the movements really on the lower abdominal muscles and glutes.

This is my Goldilocks disc! I have a hard time with cups and prefer discs, but I have yet to find a disc that fits perfectly and feels good. The Lumma small fit fine, but the cheap rubbery texture was really off-putting. The Nixit was smooth and soft, but too big. This Cora disc fits perfectly and the silicone is high quality and smooth! No leaking at all, and it can still auto-dump on demand. I also really like the finger groove. I know it doesn’t work for all, but it works well for me!

It was great! I was able to insert it, but it was a little harder because of the thicker rim. The finger grip did not work for me though. I had to move the disc around until I was able to get a good drip. Other than that this was a great disc. Maybe as I practice with it, I would be able to remove with the finger grip!

I am enjoying this disc! I have tried flex discs in the past with no success. My last consistent period product was a MeLuna Shorty because I have a very low cervix. That worked well for a while, but still had drawbacks because my cervix sat into the cup, making the volume collected much less - meaning I had to empty much more frequently than I had hoped. The disc is working really well for me! I have only used it for a few days of my cycle. It does take a bit of getting used to - a few times it twisted around when I was inserting it, so that the bowl part was facing down… which I can’t imagine would have been successful. Once it’s in, it works really well! And I am glad I learned about auto-dumping, otherwise I would have thought I was just having really bad leaks but just at really opportune times. ‍♀️ I think this might be my Goldilocks product! ✨

I have never had much success with a menstrual cup. I've tried a couple different brands but I still always had trouble with leaks and feeling the cup. I have also tried flex discs and most of the time they worked but occasionally, they also would leak and I wasnt sure what I was doing wrong. I was hesitant about the cora disc because of these experiences but figured I had to give it a try because I wanted a better option than tampons and something more comfortable for me than pads and menstrual underwear. I've used the Cora disc for one cycle so far and it was a GAME CHANGER! Placement was easy, although I did quickly learn that I had to push it a bit further back and up behind my pubic bone that I did the first time. After figuring this out, I had NOT ONE LEAK. I paired it with my Thinx period panties and emptied it every 6 - 8 hours or so for the first day and 8 - 12 hours for the days following. My only notes are on removal: I found that the disc turns inside of me and it can be hard to find the finger groove for removal... but I'm able to get it out very easily without by just bearing down and pinching the edge. In fact, I actually think it might be easier to remove this way than trying to use the finger groove. Also, removal can be a little messy. This wasn't really a big deal for me though; since I can leave it in for a pretty long time, I didn't have to empty in public and did so in my home bathroom where I have everything I need if it does get messy. I'm going to test out "auto dumping" on my next cycle for more convenience while out and about. All in all - I wish I tried the cora disc sooner!! I'm curious about other discs as well but will probably just stick with this for a while since I already spent the money and it's working well for me!

The Cora disc is the best disc I’ve tried so far! I ended up removing it with my right hand, middle finger, nail facing down inside the catch. I actually couldn’t get it by reaching under like one should. It keep moving further behind my pubic bone when I tried to take it out as directed. Anyway, so the awesome thing about the Cora disc is that it really stays put!! I forgot that I even had a period ALL DAY for three days! It’s great. I prefer it over The medium and large Lumma disc, as well as Soft Discs, and the Salt soft menstrual cup. This is my favorite. Although I have to remove it in a weird way, it’s still the easiest reusable product to remove. I’m very happy with this amazing product. The only real downside is all the packaging. Too much packaging. Other than that, super thumbs up!!!

I love this disc. I was easy for me to insert and wore comfortably with zero leaks. For me, it was a much easier and simpler experience than the cups I've tried, which were always a struggle and often didn't quite sit comfortably. I love this disc!

Really really liked it! I tested it on my heaviest days (2-4 of cycle). It was a little tricky to put in at first because it kept wanting to pop open before fully it, but I added some water based lube to the tip and squeezed very tightly, and by day 4 it was super easy. The notch spun around a little, but I was always able to find it. It was suuuper tricky to take out (even on day 4) because it was really slippery. I had to bear down a LOT and pull hard, and it still took 4-5 tries. But while it was in, it was super comfy and never auto-dumped by accident.

I've used a cup before and it was kind of a 50/50 on being "leak free". The learning curve was also pretty trying. Even after years of use I would still have bad tries and could not get the thing to sit right. Now about the disc. I was insanely skeptical and a little worried about retrieval after. I didn't think I could ever get "leak free". But let me tell you. I have slept through the night and woke up and didn't have to make the awkward waddle to the bathroom because there was a leak. I worked all day, delivery job, sitting down, standing up, in and out of the vehicle, up and down stairs you name it and didn't have an issue. Now when the disc reaches full, then yes there can and will be some blood BUT THE AUTO DUMP FEATIRE

The period shop is great but the product I bought was not. The Cora disc does not work for me and the design is cool and the packaging is lovely but I guess it’s just not built for my body. I love the soft discs and flex discs but the Cora disk is smaller than those and it just doesn’t stay in position or stay in. I’m really sad because these things cost so much money. Yea you save money over time but that’s if you can actually use what you paid for otherwise it’s very expensive and it’s not something you can exactly return. I’ll just have to keep to my disposable discs, this was a huge disappointment because I wanted a reusable disc that worked and actually would save me money. Oh well. They should offer multiple sizes like menstrual cups do and include both in what you pay in case one doesn’t work.

I have used disposable discs and liked them ok. I have tried several cups and have leaked every time. I wanted to use a cup since they are less messy but what’s the point if you’re changing them all the time and have to wear a pad! So I thought hey why not give this one more chance. This was the last period product I was going to buy! Well this is the best product I’ve ever tried. I have a tilted uterus so had to adjust a little but I have had minimal leaks, almost none when I get it right. I do change it every 4 hours or so on my one heavy day but that’s nothing compared to worrying about it all day! I feel safe to go swimming when I put it in. I sometimes don’t even wear a panty liner! I have to bear down quite a bit to get the finger space but it’s still worth it! People should definitely give it a try. Changed my period life!

I waited a few months to give a review and I'm glad I did. My initial response to this disc was not super great, but after using it for a few periods I am officially now a disc convert. (I also still love my Juju cup as well and plan to use both!) I probably would have given it 3 stars after the first month - it worked OK but was difficult to insert & remove. Now that I have more experience using it and figured out methods to minimize the discomfort of insertion/removal, I am a big fan and gladly give this disc 5 stars! Honestly, disc insertion and removal are still not my favorite - the insertion/removal experience with a cup is FAR superior vs. a disc, in my opinion. I find that I need to lubricate the disc with a little water in order to make sure it goes in easily. For removal, I pinch the rim of it with my thumb and middle finger, then use my index finger to reach in and PRESS the side of the cup inward to collapse the rim, then remove it SLOOWWWLY, while keeping pressure on the side the whole time so that it doesn't pop open until it's totally out of you. Before I figured out this "rim collapsing" method, I was experiencing PAINFUL removal - it would bump my cervix or something (?) and was extremely uncomfortable. Collapsing the rim before removing it, and then removing it SLOWLY, helps minimize any discomfort. Hope this is helpful in case anybody else is experiencing that issue! I'm happy to have this disc as a suction-free alternative to my beloved menstrual cup. I have an IUD, and while I have never had any issues using a cup with an IUD, I am aware of the risk of IUD expulsion and thought it would be worth trying out a non-suction option. Pretty happy with this one! I started with the flex dis but wanted something more sustainable. Bought the pink version from intimissi, but it would in place not stay in place. This "compact" disc is much better suited to me.

Ok so I'm a long-time cup user who, in the last couple years, started struggling with achieving suction. I tried multiple sizes and multiple brands of cup with no luck. Irritated, out about $125 total, and suffering from a dryness situation from using tampons, I decided to give the Cora disc a try. FOLKS. If suction is your issue, a disc may be your solution. It doesn't require suction at allllll so if you can get the hang of insertion you're probably golden. It took me a couple days to get my sea legs, but once I did it was awesome. No leaks, no discomfort, nothin'. I even had period sex totally without mess, and my husband had no clue the disc was in until I told him afterwards. Here are my notes: If you're having a hard time tucking it behind your pubic bone, try angling it down when you insert it. That's what made the difference for me. Auto-dumping still kinda freaks me out, but my clean undies prove it's only happening on the terlet and not when I'm sitting on the couch or whatever. It did, on occasion, rotate a bit while inserted, causing me to have to hook the rim like a more traditional disc, but I'm going to dedicate my next period to figuring out why it rotates. In conclusion, GET THE DANG THING.

Life changing! I have a condition that causes super heavy periods with giant clots. In the last five hours, I have had to empty my Cora 5 or 6 times. That means I would have gone through 20-30 tampons in that time. Before I started using discs, I could not function 2-3 days a month (obviously actually changing your tampon every few minutes isn’t really an option). I would spend a few days a month in the bathroom and bed. Now having to empty the disc every hour isn’t ideal, but I can feed my kids and get some things done. If you bleed as much as I do, see your doctor, but if like me, they know what is wrong and you and your doctor decide the best idea is to keep monitoring the situation unless menopause, this product can give you your life back.

I bought 3 reusable period disks to try out. I’m a long time Instead fan, and use a period cup from time to time. This was a nice , thin, soft flexible material. The place to put your finger in to pull it out was new and different for me. Not totally a fan. Seems like it’s too easy for things to get caught in the crevices. I also had a big fail with this on day 2. Yikes. I think the finger pull is an unnecessary gimmic. It didn’t really make it much easier to pull out. Still, I’ll use again.

I have been trying menstrual cups for years (many many years) and always needed a backup pad because I could never get it perfect every time. I have a very low cervix and it’s tilted quite a bit. I have tried probably 3-4 different cups and hated them all, so I finally gave up after I had my second baby. I found this shop through an IG referral and saw a post about this disc. So different than cups and recommended for a low cervix. I bought it on a whim expecting to throw it out. I’m on day 4 of my first period using the Cora disc and I have not had one leak! I'm a long time cup user who recently switched to discs after having a copper IUD inserted. My first cycle was a leak-free breeze with a Lumma large, which was my quiz result, and I liked it enough to try the Cora, which was my second result. This is my first period trying the Cora, so maybe we need more time to get acquainted, but it has not been the hassle free experience I had with the Lumma. I've has some overnight leakage and I definitely don't have the ease of removal with the Cora that I had hoped for. Even with the finger groove, I have a hard time removing it from behind my pelvic bone. I basically have to bear down enough to pop it out from where it's inserted, which also auto-dumps the cup, before it can be easily removed. This has gone much better since I now remember to keep my hand away before the auto-dump I'm not giving up on the Cora, because I'm not experienced with discs and some of this is likely user error, but since using the Lumma has been such a smooth process, I find myself reaching for that product over the Cora. Perhaps in a few more cycles I'll feel differently as I gain more experience.

Absolutely love this disc! I’ve been using the disposable discs for about 5 months and decided to try a more sustainable option. The flex discs were a bit too large for me and would leak every time I sneezed or coughed too hard. Not good! Then Cora came into my life and changed everything! On its maiden voyage I used it on our wedding anniversary and had sex in the morning and went to Disneyland all day…with ZERO leaks!! Walking, on and off rides, bending, sitting, all of it and no leaks! The only drawback is that the rim of the Cora disc is more pliable than the disposable kind and is a bit more of a challenge for me to insert as it wants to bunch up instead of just sliding into place. I’m sure it’ll just take more practice, but I can say that once it’s in place it’s not going anywhere! The finger grip removal is a nice feature as well. BTW my husband did not like the disposable discs because he could feel the crinkly of them but loved the Cora and could not even feel or detect it!

I should have known from the start I needed the Cora disc. I've been using the same very firm hard silicone menstrual cup (brand is lost on me) for almost a full decade and decide it was time for something without suction. After scouring the internet for reviews and comparisons, I originally settled on the Nixit. That would have worked okay but it was way too soft a waaaay to huge for me. I used it for one cycle and spent 45 minutes just trying to insert it correctly, just for it to wiggle back out in 30 minutes. I bought the Cora disc while miserating on the toilet after a second failed try with the Nixit and have only been using it for 2 days but the difference is clear as day- the firmness of the rim and its ability to keep its shape means it practically snapped into place like it just knew where to go. It only took maybe a minute to insert, which is a record even for my experienced use of the cup I've had for 8 years. The finger hold on the actual catch actually helps me push it into place rather than remove it, that being said removal of any menstrual product has never been an issue for me so I can't give a fair comment on that. Let's get this out of the way. I'm a trans man, and not bleeding all over my boxers or trunks and being forced to wear panties and a liner in case of leaks is a huge load off my shoulders. No leaks so far, and no pushing on my bladder or randomly untucking from the public bone. I'm on birth control which has made my periods lighter, so the smaller catch volume doesn't bother me. It looks like it holds more than my old cup, actually. There's not too much mess for me, but with a product that goes so far in, your hands aren't gonna be clean either. You just have to be used to it. The pros outweigh the cons.

First disc user here. Its been one year since I started using reusable menstrual products but sadly the Cora disc didn't work for me. It was hard to insert and very hard to get out. I had to go to the E.R to be removed. Never again. The experience has been terrible for me :(

I’ve been using a cup for years and love it! Tried the Cora and could not get it out. I could feel the finger groove and the rim, but could not hook it to get it out. I googled advice, called my nurse friend, waited 30mins in between attempts. After 48 hours with it in I ended up having my brand new boyfriend remove it, which took a few minutes even for him to finally get it. It was not an ideal situation. Doubt I’ll try it again.

The website was so helpful with all of the videos and reviews for this first time disc user with an IUD. It’s not nearly as intimidating as one might think to switch from wasteful tampons to a disc. Period Nirvana is so informative on a topic that is not openly discussed!

I loved the Cora disc. I have been using disc size M but I did have pressure on my bladder so I decided to give the Cora disc a shot I love it no pressure no auto dumbing so far not to hard to remove I have a super high cervix and a very tilted uterus

Absolutely zero leaks! So comfortable! However, for people with a higher cervix like me, I found removal a little more difficult than something like the flex disc. The little notch in the disc helped but still takes a little more time and is a little harder to remove.

I bought the Cora Disc after seeing it on the Period Nirvana TikTok and I'm obsessed with it! Getting the disc in and out was so easy for me with the little spot to hook my finger and I found it to be way easier to use than the cup I tried. Can't recommend it enough, especially for those new to reusable menstrual products!

[This is a long review...sorry.] This is my goldilocks! I have used menstrual cups before---usually always leaked a bit, or I would just have lots of pain down there from the removal and insertion process...I just feel very uncomfortable shoving something that snaps open or having to reach to grab and break the seal. It was getting too much for me to enjoy my blood week. Then I tried out some discs because it's more of a "one size fits most" type situation than a cup, plus there's no need to pop anything open to make and break a suction. Nixit is too large and soft, kept leaking on me. Lumma medium kept sliding down, I think it's too small for me to keep behind the pubic bone. And it has a weird sticky rubbery feel to it-not my favorite to use. So now, we finally move onto the Cora disc. Oh my goodness. The size-perfect! The shape and ergonomic pull-tab design-beautiful! The color-GORGEOUS! And, (if I make sure I have inserted it properly behind my pubic bone), NO LEAKS! I'm not a fan of the "automated dumping" discs are known for, because, I want to make sure I can control that dumping aspect on my terms, and not when I randomly sneeze hard or something. I have had my Cora disc for over 4 months now, and I gave it a final test: having my period Day 1 be the day I have my 7.5 hour MCAT examination. And I survived both the test and the embarrassment of not having to stress or worry about my period on such a crucial day. I was afraid I wouldn't have efficient time during the 10 min exam breaks to stretch, use the bathroom, dump out my heavy day bloods, and reset my brain for the next exam if I didn't use my Cora disc. I can't recommend it enough.

Oh man. This is it. I found my Goldilocks cup! Cora makes me happy inside. Bear down lightly and you can make this one auto dump so that you can just wipe and go. I used to have to change my cup after around 2-4 hours max but auto dumping is the bees knees lol! The finger grip makes removal a snap. Reach in to the rim, bear down and snag the finger grip and gently slide it out. Never have had clean fingers removing a disc until now. This disc is perfect for me. Very happy camper!

Absolutely in love with the Cora disc!! I have been struggling through the transition from tampons to cups/discs for the last year. I bought the Diva cup in early 2020 and wanted it to work SO badly, but I was never confident that it was placed correctly, constantly had leaks in the first few days of my period, felt bladder pressure, and had a painful removal process with the suction. I switched to the Saalt Soft. Besides it being harder to insert, I had the same issues. After a brief and horrible return to my old tampons and pads, I gave it another shot - with discs. I bought the Softdiscs and was immediately blown away - insertion is SO MUCH EASIER and I never doubted that it was placed correctly, AND I never had leaks. Finally, I had found something that worked. Unfortunately, Softdiscs are disposable (and expensive), which negated the environmental benefits of reusable period products that I was going for. Enter the holy grail of period products (at least for me) - the Cora disc. It's soft but not too soft, is completely impossible to feel once inserted, is easy to remove, and is trustworthy - NO LEAKS. I have had completely waste-free periods for the past 3 cycles (not even using any pantiliners) and I can't even tell you how amazing it feels to be able to say that. I am thrilled with the Cora disc and I hope it works just as well for my fellow menstruators who try it!

First time I've ever forgotten about an insertable period product! Was a little worried because disposable flex was uncomfortable but the diameter is a little less and it's great! No leaks at all :)

The Cora cup is the first reusable period product I’ve used and it’s A-MAZING! The feel was so smooth and cool compared to itchy and dry tampons. I will definitely be continuing use of silicone period products

Omg!!! Ladies, this is IT!!! I have used menstrual cups for years and I have tried almost all brands trying to avoid leaks, never succeeded. The best cup for me is the Cora cup, it just feels different from the rest but I still got occasional leaks until…………(wait for it, it’s coming). I always peeked at disposable discs but the idea of the plastic and it’s sound just steered me away. I got an email from Cora brand introducing their silicone disc and I was eager to try, so I ordered it. Once received, read the simple instructions, popped it in easily and was automatically impressed by the fit. I totally understood how the disc rests at the door of my cervix and that made insertion a piece of cake! Once it was there, I felt nothing and I do mean NOT A THING. Hours went by and no leaks!!!!! It was like, there was no period at all. After I would urinate, I would use my finger to make sure that the disc was still in place and it has never moved on me at all. Again more hours went by, no leaks!! Before I knew it, my period was over and I hadn’t leaked ONE time!!!!! This is what I have been waiting for all my life (I’m 40 years old lol). I will mention that for first time users you may have to practice gripping/holding the disc while inserting, it’s tough (but NOT uncomfortable in any way). It is build strong to get the job done with no leaks and it does just that!!!! Now go order your Cora silicone disc today!!!!!

This is THE perfect disc for me!! I tried the Lumma M and L, Nixit, and the newer Moonthlies brand. The Lumma M was too small in diameter and would leak. The Lumma L and Nixit would sometimes untuck when I laughed or sneezed. I had really good success with the disposable discs that had the really firm rim… I think that is the key with this. The firm wider rim makes it really secure. It expands perfectly into position because of the thicker silicone. For me I’ve noticed that the pull tab in the front does sometimes twist a little to one side, so removal can be a little tricky. However, this is the closest experience to the disposable discs. The diameter is bigger than Lumma M, but smaller than Lumma L. It’s perfect. My search for the perfect reusable disc ends here!

After some allergic reactions to tampons, they were out. Pads give me a rash, so time to find something else that's reusable and mess free. Well I haven't had the best luck in reusable period products...until now! I am in love with the Cora Disc!!! So easy to use and I can set it and forget it. The ONLY negative I can say, is that my partner said he could feel it during sex. Said he felt like he was hitting something, but it worked and no mess! I'm very happy with it. I have tried cups, they jus don't work for my body. And the other discs I've tried jus don't stay put. The Cora Disc has a thicker rim, which holds it in where it needs to be and I don't have to worry it's gonna fall out. Will not be using any other disc besides Cora from now on.

As of writing this, it’s my first cycle trying the Cora disc, but I’m in love. I’ve had a lot of issues with discs in the past: I bought the Lumma high and medium, and they both slipped down and randomly auto dumped. They were also difficult to remove and insert for me. Not this disc though! Insertion and removal is (almost) a dream, it hasn’t leaked or auto dumped (when I inserted it properly) once, and the material is high quality. It also has the perfect capacity: not too much or too little. I think I finally found my ultimate reusable period product.

LOVE IT! I just recently started using a menstrual cup and it was better than a tampon, but I couldn't get it right and it still leaked and sometimes hurt to use and was such a hassle to insert. THEN i switched to the Cora Disc and BEST DECISION I ever made. I had ZERO LEAKS super easy to insert and remove. AND I love the self emptying. Less messy than the cup too! I can go with out a pad and I wore white on my period for the first time in forever! If you're contemplating do it!

It is amazing! I had a bad experience with another brand cause the disc was too big and wouldn’t stay in and bought this one to try it out. It fits perfectly and it’s super easy to put in and take out. Totally recommend it.

I was looking for a more sustainable option. I had been looking at discs and cups and felt that that discs were going to ve the best. After what seems like a few months and I decided to finally just order it. I actually bought two brands for trial and error. This is by far my favorite. Easy to insert and remove. The color is nice. I bought a silicone safe lubricant for the 'learning' curve but didn't need it-however those who have a little dryness around their periods may find it helpful at first. No leaks! The best part was camping over a lkng weekend while on my period and not having to worry about where to dispose of period products!! Definitely try it!

I love this! The rim is a bit firm so it can be hard to insert, but after a couple tries I got the hang of it and it’s my new favorite. It’s easy to clean, and fits super comfortable. I’ve had no leaks and I forget I’m on my period!

First time disc user here! This was almost perfect - easy to insert and surprisingly not messy to remove if auto-dumping before removal. The finger catch was a nice feature. I'm very active and this held up without a single leak through various types of exercise. The one problem was that I had constant bladder pressure with it, which probably has to do with my anatomy, I might just need something smaller or softer. But overall really great!

I’ve been a cup user for a few years but this is my first disc. Been wary to take the leap because autodumping seemed so common and I don’t trust anything to autodump but not leak! I was intrigued by the design (and price) of this disc and wanted a no-suction option for light days when it’s harder to remove a mostly-empty cup. I love, love, love this disc. The firmness of the rim meant it was easy to get into place from the get-go. I finally got to test it for real this week while moving (so so lots of lifting and movement) and it. Does. Not. Budge. Super secure. This is also the first reusable I have ever used that I can (TMI warning) have a bm and it doesn’t slip down. I couldn’t do that with my cup. Plus it’s such a lovely dark grey. I still love my cup but this is my new favorite.

I LOVED IT! This is the first reusable period product I have ever tried and I’m so glad I made the switch. I was hesitant to switch to reusable products because I thought only cups existed and I have an IUD. Then I learned about discs and their lack of suction - game changer! I wore it to bed last night and it was so comfortable. No leaks either. I’m slowly gaining trust in it. You don’t realize how much you can actually feel a tampon until you get one of these guys. Insertion of the disc was a strange sensation, and took a bit of getting used to. Same with removal. But it was nothing unbearable. I also enjoy that it has a pretty firm rim, because it easily opens up to max capacity when placed inside. I haven’t had any problems with it rotating in me yet (rendering the grip useless) but we will see if that changes. I can also auto-dump, which is a little scary but will likely be a convenience on heavier days. All in all, I love this product and highly recommend it to other first time users!

I love this disc. The material is super smooth and soft and the rim is firm. I really like the finger grip, I was already using a Lumma size M and even with the string it can be really hard for me to grab the rim and remove - this makes it so much easier.

The Cora Disc is wonderful! This is the first reusable period product that I have used that has not leaked or caused cramps. I have a lower cervix and the fit was perfect. I had no trouble with insertion or removal.

The rim is harder than the nixit plus it is a slightly bit smaller so I had no problems getting it in place and having it stay there! In that regard it is extremely comfortable and hasn't leaked once. The only thing that worries me is that the rim portrudes from my pelvic bone more than I (and my partner) would like. Since the hardness of the rim and its portrusion doesn't make for the best experience during sex for my boyfriend. If I was just using this as an alternative for a period cup I would give it five stars. Have no problem with the product itself and quite like it actually. Can't really speak for the finger indentation either since I haven't particularly struggled while removing any discs before. I guess it made putting it in a tad more awkward the first time around, just because I was used to rotating the disc during insertion. But afterwards it was easy peasy :)

I am enjoying it so far, I've been taking the couple of days before my period to get used to putting it in and taking it out, but I think its going to work really well!! I took one star off because I bought this one specifically for space for the fingers to make it easier to remove because it has not been helpful at all.

This may be THE ONE for me. I was struggling with the Lumma -high & low. It leaked & was auto-dumping randomly, or when I sneezed- it was exactly like those memes, worst fears coming true!! But with the Cora disc it was a perfect fit. No leaks, I hardly feel it. Its not popping out when I bear down, like during workout & heavy squats. I don't feel it or feel like I constantly have to go pee. Taking it out is messier than with a cup tho. But so far I love this.

This is definitely my favorite reusable period product! I started on and had good success with the softdisc (back when they were still owned by Instead!!!) but moved to menstrual cups because I liked the fact that they were reusable. After struggling to remove my menstrual cup far too many times (I have an incredibly high cervix) I was in the market to try something new. The main reasons that I picked the Cora disc is because of the firm rim and the color. I have always found that firmer cups were easier to insert for me and the same is true with the Cora disc. The black/grey color of the disk was another big plus for me because I don't like the fact that so many menstrual products come specifically in pink so I'm happy to support a company that's setting a different standard. I think the Cora disc works for my high cervix because bearing down to move the cup/disc just seems more effective to me with discs (the lack of suction maybe?). The only thing I would describe as off is: although the finger grip is effective, I do understand why someone could be uncomfortable with the "digging around" that you have to do when it's higher up or slippery which is uncommon but still real.

This disc was super easy to insert and fit super comfortably. Loved the cutout to help get a good grip for removal! It's my first reusable disc and I like it better than the disposable softdisc I had tried!

This is my Goldilocks disc! I was starting to become disheartened when all other discs would slip out of place throughout the day. Not this one, this one is a insert and forget about it disc. I found insertion super easy because the rim is firm and definitely wants to open inside you, and kind of just found it’s way to the correct positioning. Leak free and auto-dump free for me. Removal took a couple times to master, but I find that bearing down using the finger hole on the disc works perfectly. Thanks period.shop!!
