I feel so fortunate that the Hello Disc was the very first menstrual disc I've ever tried and that it will be the last! I have been wanting to switch to reusable menstrual products for a few years but have been too intimidated to try. I finally decided a couple months ago it was time to get over my fears and so I purchased my first cup. My first cycle with a cup it took 3 days of consistent attempts to even get it inserted. It was painful, leaked after 3 hours, and the removal was absolute hell. So I decided I needed a better option with no suction and easier insertion. I was terrified of trying a disc and worried about retrieval and autodumping in the wrong context but then I found the hello disc and ladies... my life will never be the same in the best way possible!
I cannot get over how easy this product is to use. I inserted it on the first try. It was pain-free, comfortable, barely noticeable most days of my cycle, and 100% leak-free. It did not autodump for me (which I prefer) and by the second day of my cycle I felt completely confident and comfortable not using any backup. Removal was so incredibly easy with the pull tab (I wore mine flipped) and honestly was not messy at all.
The period I had using my hello disc has been the most comfortable and cleanest cycle I've ever had in my life! I can't stop telling all my lady friends about this product and I'm so grateful I was brave enough to take the plunge and try this disc. Thank you to Kim and Hello for making such a fantastic product and for helping me find my Period Nirvana! <3

I was a Backer for the Hello Disc Kickstarter. I loved the Hello cup material and feel when I wore it, but still leaked and found that discs worked better for me. I can never find my own cervix, but have been told by my gynecologist that I have an average height cervix and the small and medium height Lumma discs worked best for me. The Nixit was a bit too big and the Cora cup was almost perfect for me.
I got my Hello Disc in the mail after my period so I did a dry run and couldn’t feel it at all. This was almost a month ago. I got to use it on my period for the first time three days ago and I’ve literally never had a more comfortable period since starting to use reusables.
I haven’t had any cramps while using the Hello Disc and have had no leaks either. With other discs, I typically had leaks at night and was just constantly aware not of my disc, but that I just didn’t feel secure without something like a panty liner.
The Hello Disc also hasn’t stained at all for me while using it. With my other discs, even when rinsing in cold water between insertions, I always had some kind of staining. Almost halfway through my period, I still don’t see any staining.
I’m a Hello Disc convert and so happy I backed the Kickstarter. I’ll definitely be ordering more Hello Discs as back-ups and to replace this first disc when the time comes. Thank you, Kim, for all the work you put into designing this awesome product!!

I’ve been on a quest to find a reusable cup or disc for the last 4+years?! I’ve tried SOOO many different cups and had a hard time with either the fit or enough to handle my heavy flow … or my crazy work schedule that made it hard to get to a restroom at times! I feel like I’ve become a reusable cup collector, but not on purpose. I was feeling hopeless on finding a cup or disc that worked for my high cervix and super heavy flow. But then I saw on YouTube that the Hello disc was coming out and it had an easy tab for removing the disc and auto-dumping…. So I preordered. And I lOVE IT! It’s the first reusable product that has worked for me. I use it with the tab not flipped but the ‘high cervix way’ and have used it for 12 hours straight with auto-dumping! I’m super happy with my Hello disc! Thank you sooo much for making a wonderful product! I totally recommend this product!! Love it❤️

I thought it was really easy to insert and remove but it's too big for low cervixes (for reference I usually use a saalt small with the stem cut off and it just barely fits). It pushes against the pubic bone and almost folds a bit so it keeps popping out if place.
Hopefully they come out with a smaller diameter soon!

This is an excellent disc, but I had trouble with inserting it. It’s very firm and liked to pop out of my hands while inserting, and would put lots of pressure on my sore vaginal walls while removing it. Ouch. Once I pulled it out it would “pop” loudly. It requires more hand strength than other discs I’ve tried. I have some carpal tunnel and that could explain the trouble. I still recommend it to others but I’m not sure it’s Period Nirvana for me… I’m going to give it some more time to get used to it. Also- during ‘vase cleaning activities, the tab made my hubby sore but it magically tucked and it was fine after that- I felt a little sore from it rubbing but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

I have tried cups and disposable discs on and off for 5 years and nothing really worked for me. The Hello disc is a game changer! So easy to insert, can’t feel it at all, and no leaks! I am so impressed! Mine didn’t come with a bag which was a slight disappointment but other than that I could not be happier!

I've been using the Lumma disk for just over two years, and before that had been a cup user for 5 years. I was extremely excited to try the Hello disk and it has not disappointed. I find the pull tab to be utterly life changing for removal (I like to flip the first ring up into the second pull tab for my use). Since the only other disk I've used is Lumma, which has a significantly softer rim, I find insertion of the Hello disk to be a bit tricky. I'm not used to how much harder it is to fold. I'm getting used to it though, and the ease of getting it out is so huge for me that the extra effort to insert isn't a big deal.

Hi everyone! I have only switched to reusable period products about 6 months ago and my first and only product during these months was a menstrual cup by Allmatters (Organicup). By the way, I switched after I found period nirvana account on Instagram and decided to finally give it a try. I loved using a cup, however, first days of a period when my flow was the heaviest the cup leaked in just couple hours after inserting…. So I felt very unconfident and sometimes used pads to be sure I’ll be ok if the cup leaks. The second half of the period was perfect and the cup completely worked for me. But because of those uncomfortable days with heavy flow I wanted to research other options. I followed hello disc journey on Instagram for quite a while, and decided it’s time when I saw it’s on preorder. There was a couple bumps with shipping and I’m so grateful the shop responded in a great way! I was super excited to try the hello disc when I got my period. The first couple days I was constantly scared of leaks but hello disc did NOT let me down!! Absolutely NO leaks even with the heaviest flow!:) I tried the “flipped” way of wearing and it worked great for me. The insertion of the disc was definitely a learning curve for me, and still is, but I’m getting better every time:) I also found autodump very useful feature. Another reason that pushed me to try the disc vs cup was that I’m planning on getting an IUD and I’m very happy that hello disc worked so perfectly for me. Thank you!

Over this disc is a huge win! I use another brands disc and love disc but not exactly love the telcos process. I’ve only used it for one cycle but ooweeee it was a good one. No leaks. Easy to clean. Easy to remove. Probably my new favorite menstrual product.
Megan A.
Love my hello disc! Finally a disc that isn’t uncomfortable during sex, doesn’t pop out of place, easy to insert and take out, and DOES NOT leak!!! I never thought I could go an entire period with ZERO leaks! I am so so so happy.
Shelby R.
I've used cups for years, but this was my first disc and I love it! Cups work well for me, but this disc performs even better on my heaviest day. The fact that I can quickly dump the contents without removing the disc is a huge plus. And by some magic, I've had no leaks at all, even on my heaviest day. The versatility of the tab is a great feature, and insertion and removal has been a breeze since I've gotten used to it! The tab is truly the best of both worlds. I've been using it in the tucked position since I like it out of the way, but when it's time to remove, it's easy to retrieve. I especially love how the ring securely fits around my finger for easy, secure, and mess-free removal. 100% improved my period experience
Kelita M.
I am so in love! So comfortable, no changing every few hours. Took a min to get the hang of but I will never look back now!
Marta T.
Where have discs been all my life?! Have used a cup for about a year and that was ok. Better than tampons, but was too finicky for me. Was always afraid of leaks and insertion was a bit of a pain. The disc was so much easier and no leaks even after 12 hours on my heavy day! First removal was a bit messy but then watched some how-to videos from Kim and got a hang of it on the second removal. Thank you Kim for this product and getting the word out on this great option!
Haley K.
I only started using reusable period products this year and I'm so glad I finally made the switch, especially to the Hello disc! It's the perfect size for me and so easy to remove and clean. There was a little bit of a learning curve about getting it in since it's pretty firm, but that was my only problem I ever had with it so far. I can see myself using this for years.

I finally found my forever period product! I've been on a quest to find the right period product for the last four years. I started with cups then went ahead and bought a Cora Disc, which I loved but was it was impossible to remove given that I have a high cervix. The first time that I tried to remove it, it took me about 20 mins and left me a bit traumatized but I knew that there had to be other options out there. I stumbled across the Period Nirvana channel and realized that Kim was designing a disc with a loop which I thought was the perfect fit for me given that I needed the extra help.. well it sure was! I tested it out during a full cycle and couldn't believe how easy of a period product it was. The insertion was easy, the removal was a breeze, less of a clean up which is perfect and as comfortable as it can get. My periods are quite heavy and so I'm required to empty it every couple of hours but with the Hello disc I'm able to go a full 12 hours and not experience a single leak. Thank you Kim!
Tammi H.
I'm a 48 year old female who has had zero pregnancies and I currently have a Paraguard IUD. I have a high cervix and a heavy flow. I've tried multiple menstrual cups and found the Merula XL and OS to be my perfect cup. I tried the Lumma disc and experienced difficulties removing it, so I gave up on the disc idea until I saw Kim demo the Hello disc. I'm such a fan of Kim and all the work she does and I was over the moon excited to get my Hello disc!! The Hello disc is absolutely amazing!! I still have to use my Merula XL during my heaviest flow hours because the Hello disc just didn't hold enough and I didn't want to empty it every hour. But when my flow is not heavy I use the Hello disc. I didn't have any leaks with the Hello disc, it's extremely comfortable to insert and wear, and a breeze to remove. If you're thinking about buying the Hello disc, just do it! You won't regret it.
Maureen C.
Straightforward to use and no leaks (even on heavy days!). I tried using the cup before without success, but I'm so glad I tried the disc. Highly recommend
Mary S.
I have loved this disc! I switched from a cup to a disc because of my IUD. I thought I would miss my cup, but this disc has been fantastic and I don't miss my cup at all. Love the soft texture and the loop options!
Gaulding T.
I love it! Insertion is easier than a cup in my opinion and I love that there’s no suction. I know when I’ve put it in correctly and everything and I’ve been leak free since I switched from cup to disk! I even convinced my sister to try it out :)
Kat J.
This is as close to Nirvana as it gets for me! For context, long time cup user and disc user, having had varying success. I have a high cervix, so while cups/discs are way more comfortable and less messy than pads and tampons, removal has often been a point of anxiety and frustration. The Hello Disc has made for the easiest experience I’ve ever had. As others have said, the firmness and tendency to pop open has made insertion a little tricky at times, but once in, I think that helps with preventing leaks. Wearing it flipped was super comfortable and being leak free, I literally forgot (I never thought it’d happen to me!) about it. I’ll need to set an alarm next time (and that is a glorious thing). And, did I mention removal was the easiest 5 seconds ever?? Holy moly, no more breaking into a sweat every time it is time to remove it. The pull tab is genius!! All in all, not perfect, but 99% and I’ll take it! Getting rid of all of my other cups and discs because I know I’m not reaching for anything else. Thank you for this!
Staci O.
I was so excited to try this and was hoping it would solve the problems I've had with cups (namely, frequent leakage). However, I can't even get to the point of testing that because insertion was a total no-go. I spent 20 minutes trying to get it inserted correctly and finally gave up in frustration. It wouldn't tuck under my pubic bone and over all felt way too big. I felt like I couldn't get a good grip to insert it because it's so soft. This may be a disc thing in general, though, because I'm used to a firmer cup. If there are discs that are firmer, those might work for me but I'm kind of hesitant to try another disc because my experience with this one was so unpleasant.

Congratulations to Hello Disc for being the first menstrual product to literally frustrate me to the point of tears. I have been a cup user for over 5 years and a disc user for 2. I stupidly bought into the marketing claims that this disc was a “game changer” and offered less or even “no mess” removal. This thing was nearly impossible to insert and position correctly. It didn’t stay in place. It auto dumped when I sat down (in a work meeting!!) and ruined everything I was wearing. It caused sharp stabbing pelvic pain. It leaked almost constantly. Even when it managed not to leak for a couple hours, it had trouble containing any collected blood and needed to be changed. I can wear a tampon for two hours with a lot less mess, frustration, pain, and hassle. Finally, as if the Hello disc could get *literally* any worse, taking this thing out was an absolute blood bath. I’ll stick with Flex discs and my femmycycle cup. This product isn’t revolutionary. It’s a barely-functional menstrual disc with a removal tab.

TL;DR: I like it okay, but it has silicone degradation issues.
I was really hopeful and excited about this disc, but I was hoping for more than it is.
I am a regular user of disposable discs, and have never had an issue.
HelloDisc pros: no leakage. Easy to get in, and if the tab is down, a breeze to get out. I love these aspects. I have a high cervix, so the disposable ones are juuuuust within reach.
Cons: the tab. I am suuuuuper sensitive... everywhere. I find the tab to be uncomfortable unless I tuck it about halfway up, but even then it can get dislodged and start irritating again. As for mess free sexy times, the suggested position of the tab worked great--until it was time to get it out. Yes, I waited a while to get it out, but when I did, it had done a 180 and the tab was not facing forward. Because the diameter is smaller than a disposable, I couldn't get a good grip on it, and instead was barely able to reach the tab and pull so that it came out upside down. Not super comfy, and I think I'll take my chances going thr natural way. My BIGGEST issue is shown in the pic. The silicone seams, or whatever they are, harbor blood, and I can't tell if it is just stained or stuff is still in there. I've scrubbed, but sometimes the issue is that actual and tiny pieces of silicone come off (just the seam areas where it looks like it was molded), and I DO NOT like that. I don't know if I'm getting it clean or if pieces of silicone are degrading inside me.
Also, unimportantly, it stained up like crazyunimportant, (that I hated) for months and it didn't stain, and I've only used this one for two periods.
All that said, I'll never go back to pads, and probably not cups. If anyone has opinions on the Cora disc vs Flex Reusable, I'm all ears.
Thea T.
So far, this has been a very good disc for me. I have been using discs since college (early 2000s with Soft Cups) and have been thrilled to have reusable options - love all the ones I have tried, including Cora, Ziggy 1, Nixit, and Lumma (minus the "string"). I did find the Hello disc to be a bit tricky to insert at first (I think it was the extra material with the tab) and I found the tab to be uncomfortable. I tired the different tab options and finally settled on cutting off the first loop of the tab. Without that loop, it has been working great for me. I highly recommend giving this disc a try.

The Hello Disc is amazing!! I purchased the Saalt soft cup and the Hello disc and am new to reusable menstrual products. I tried the cup first, since it seemed a bit less invasive. Thought I got it in, but it leaked everywhere. Decided to try the disc to see if I would have better luck and it was so easy. I was a bit nervous at first, but just a push and a tuck--it's in. I wore it the rest of the day and no leaks. I tried it again with the tab flipped and it was irritating me. I checked it and I was leaking a bit, and felt it came untucked, so not sure if this had something to do with the flipped tab or placement. I let the tab hang low and reinserted and no more leaking. I confidently wore the Hello disc in D.C. as we walked the whole day around The Mall (of course wearing a liner and packed back-up, just in case.) I used the Hello Disc the rest of my period and found it to be super easy, convenient, and made it easy to forget I was even on my period. I like the tab long for easy removal. By the end of my period, I was able to dump the disc and keep my hands mess-free. I had read about auto-dumping prior to trying the Hello disc and was nervous, but found I only auto-dump during a b.m. which is fine by me. I can't imagine ever going back to disposable period products. And I'm not sure I even need to mess with the Saalt cup again, since I am so happy with the Hello Disc!

I never thought I'd say this with having high cervix but buy this freaking cup this has completely changed my period and the pull tab made it the easiest reusable of my life to remove
Brittaney H.
It's quite comfortable and velvety. I love the double-looped tab, it makes removal very easy. I'm still working with it though.
Cheryl D.
I've been a disc user for a few months now. I had to try a couple of different brands before finding what works for me. I've found that I NEED a disc with a string or a tab, something that extends from the disc to help get it out. I've been happy with my Luma discs but really wanted to give the Hello disc a go! I've only used this for one cycle. Insertion is good; due to the softness of the rim, it takes me a little longer to get it all the way in. I do prefer a little bit more of a firm rim but it's not a deal breaker for me. It is comfortable to wear all day. I wear it with the tab fully extended to keep the length, as I do need it for removal. I will say that while I prefer the Luma for insertion, I do prefer the Hello disc for removal. That tab is truly an awesome design!! I personally would LOVE to see a larger capacity for my super heavy days. So, I will continue to use my Luma high on my heaviest days and switch to the Hello disc for my medium to light days (where I used to use a Luma medium).

I have found period nirvana!!! Hello Disc fits me like a glove, no spills at all! I have a low cervix and a heavy flow. I’ve had a really difficult journey finding the right cup or disc. I was shocked when I pulled the tab and encountered an angry rush of menstrual blood. It felt like I wasn’t on my period at all. I can’t advocate for reusable menstrual products enough. Not just for the good of the earth, but for how much they have truly changed my life. All the worry, stress, and expense is gone.
Sam B.
I really loved this. Ive only had one cycle with it so far. To be honest, the first day of my cycle was very messy, but this was my first time using a disk rather than a cup.
I like the tab flipped I have learned.
But overall, super great experience, the packaging is cute and I really feel like this is more comfortable than a cup.
Donna C.
Thrilled! Hello Disc is the best ever! I've been using pads exclusively since the birth of my fist child 20 years ago. Tampons just don't work properly anymore. Thought I had a low cervix after childbirth. A few years ago, I happened across cups on social media and was instantly intrigued. I watched lots of Youtube reviews of various cups. I tried a traditional cup. Uncomfortable and leaky, complicated to insert and always unsure about proper insertion. Then I tried femmycycle cup which worked better and was easier to use. It worked better, but it still wasn't perfect and leak-free. I was also concerned that the suction on that cup was pulling my low cervix lower. I gave up for a while but kept watching reviews and looking for new and better products. I came across the nixit disc and was convinced it could work for me. I tried it, and it was comfortable but it leaked and would not stay tucked behind the pubic bone. Once again, I thought it was because my low cervix was pushing it out. I still tried it off and on for about a year. It never worked properly. In that time, I noticed I was touching my "low cervix" when I was washing that area in the shower. I was afraid that I had a prolapse and it could protrude out of my vagina. So, I set up an appointment with a gynourologist thinking I would need some surgery to tack things back into place. To my surprise, the doctor told me I had a large cervical polyp. My cervix was exactly where it should be, and what I thought was my cervix was actually a polyp that probably developed from trauma during/after I birthed my first child! What a relief! I went to my gynecologist, scheduled the surgery, and had the benign polyp removed. I couldn't wait to heal and try the nixit cup again. I was pretty disappointed when it still wouldn't stay tucked and leaked. So, I went back to watching some review videos and trying to figure out why the disc wasn't working for me. Period Nirvana convinced me that the nixit cup was too big. I was just about to try a small lumma disc when Period Nirvana started talking about their launch of the Hello disc. I thought... I'll try that first, if that doesn't work I'll try the small lumma disc. If neither of those work, I GIVE UP! I pre-ordered the Hello disc and couldn't wait for it to arrive. I knew from the moment I inserted it that it was different. It tucked behind the pubic bone very easily AND STAYED! Although I've only used it for one cycle, it never leaked. I can auto-dump whenever I want. A couple of times when I sneezed I thought it may have auto-dumped, but when I checked it was urine (which is totally normal when I sneeze). I am so thrilled that I finally found a disc that's right for me! It works! I think it's a combination of the size and the firmness of the rim. What an amazing product. I won't have to take along a purse full of pads to work or on a day out. Our family loves to go camping, and I won't have to take any pads with me for that, to the bathhouse or for squatting in the woods. How easy and convenient! This makes a huge difference in my life. I may gift this to all the ladies in my life. What a game-changer!
Briona P.
This disc is a game changer. I’ve been using menstrual cups for a while now and have had little luck finding one that has worked for me. For my upcoming trip abroad, I wanted to try something that wasn’t going to leak on me and allowed less maintenance while traveling. It’s only my second day of using it, but I can already say that my experience has been amazing. It’s so much easier than I expected to get insert, and Is much more comfortable than a cup. I’m officially converted. Also the little pull tab makes getting it out so easy. Highly recommend. I’ve been telling all my friends about it.
Adriana P.
The hello disc is amazing!!! So worth it. I felt like I was in heaven on my first cycle with the hello disc. It's very smooth and the takeout was so easy and mess free unlike some of my other discs 10/10!!!
En
As someone new to discs, I found it easy to insert securely and had the leak-free experience I was hoping for. However, I seem to fall out of the one-size range and I wasn't able to find a comfortable angle to wear it. I'd be curious to try a smaller version if one came out in the future.
Haley D.
I've been a long-time cup user but decided it was time for a change. After one cycle of using this disc, I'm sold. No leaks, easy to insert and remove, and love the auto-empty feature.
Addy
This is a fantastic disc. I’m a first time disc user, long time cup user. My period is typically very very heavy and painful. During my period I’m usually very sensitive and I generally have to switch from cups to pads during the worst pain because of sensory issues. I also usually overflow my cup overnight because I have to use a smaller size and my flow is heavy.
This has not been the case with the hello disc. I have been able to go my whole period with just the disc because the capacity is huge, I do not feel it at all, and I found out I auto-dump! It was incredible during that first period poop to realize I’d emptied my disc without taking it out.
I will say, for first time disc users - insertion did take some time to get the hang of. I was used to cup positioning and was a bit intimidated by the size of the disc and fumbled insertion quite a bit at first. I learned to use a drop of lube and guide it halfway in and then reposition my hands to guide the rest of the way in and then tuck it up behind my pubic bone.
I also have a high Cervix and I thought I would need to extend the tab all the way but I don’t, flipped is perfect. I kickstarted the hello disc simply because I was happy to see a period product made BY people with vaginas and I wasn’t expecting to actually be blown away but here I am. I’m definitely a disc convert now.
Jessica B.
After three babies and having a high, tilted cervix, I had trouble wearing menstrual cups. They would constantly leak no matter how I positioned them. I decided to give the Hello Disc a shot as a last-ditch effort. The first time using the disc, it was so easy to insert as well as very easy to empty. It has been a little more of a learning curve in terms of emptying the disc and trying to contain the blood while getting to the sink. I am at the end of my first period using the Hello Disc and there has been no leaking. It feels like I am not on my period. This product is amazing! I am so happy with the Hello Disc. I will recommend it to everyone!
Emilie A.
I am obsessed with my Hello Disc! As someone who spent the first 10+ years of my menstruating life with vaginismus, finding a cup that works for me felt like a far away dream. Normal cups ended up being really uncomfortable, and with a pelvic floor that still refuses to relax, my cup would just pop right out any time I bore down. I switched to Nixit and loved it, despite sometimes having to psych myself up to go digging for it up there. Finally, hello to the Hello Disc! The tab helps so much with removal, especially since my cervix height varies wildly during my period. It's super easy to clean, extremely comfortable, and doesn't move throughout the day. I truly believe this is the perfect disc for someone like me.
Danielle C.
I recently tried Lumma medium and it wasn’t working for me. I tried this and the first time I used it it was wow! Totally comfortable and so far no leaks! I am so excited!!!
Kayleigh T.
This was my first disc and I've only used it for one cycle, so take this with a grain of salt. The disc itself is amazing. It feels great, I love the design, and it seems very well made.
However, I think it might be too large for me. The first insertion was a little tough, but it worked out better once I got the hang of it. I will note that the flipped position came unflipped several times during insertion for me, but it turned out that the tucked position worked better for me anyway.
The main reason why I wanted to try a disc was because of bladder pressure due to the regular Saalt small. This still had some bladder issues for me. I also had some leaking which makes me think it's too big. I have an average cervix height that errs on the side of short, so this might be a contributor.
Overall a good product, I just wish there was a smaller version also.
Diamond W.
Love the Hello disc! The pull tab with the different pull options was just what I needed! Worked out perfectly! Stayed in place with no leaks even after a day at a jump place.
Jessica S.
It's been very comfortable once I learned to place it as far as it will go and the best position for the removal loops for me. I haven't had any leaks and Im really getting the hang of autodumping. The removal loops make taking it out SUPER easy. I love that I can leave it in for up to 12 hours, but
I noticed an unpleasant smell from the blood sitting in it if I waited to removed it until the 12 hour mark so I will be removing it and cleaning it more often on my heavy days. I also dont particularly enjoy the squelch sound that happens on removal sometimes but discretion isn't such a big deal if I'm home. Other than that, its pretty awesome and I'm wondering why I haven't tried it sooner. I will likely purchase another one to swap between removals.
Laura M.
EXCELLENT! I tried the new Hello Disc and it was a dream. So easy to use and adjust, it made my period so easy. I used it along with period panties as back up and it was as if my period was part of my life rather than the center of my life for a week. It also was great for play! I’ve been a long time disposable disc user and after a trip early this year where I couldn’t get my normal products, I decided to change to reusable products. The loop was super useful. The only downside I would say is that it did take some adjustment. I could feel it the first couple of days. I either got used to it or figured out how to put it in (likely the latter).
Erin M.
Love love love! This was the best disc experience I’ve had. Absolutely no leaks. Super comfy. Easy to insert and remove. Highly recommend!!!
amy h.
This disc arrived shortly before my vacation as did an unexpected period! We had to travel for 12 hours, I popped the hello disc in and forgot about it! It didn’t leak, it was super comfortable, and it gave me freedom of not being tied to a bathroom or worrying about changing a tampon in the tiny plane bathroom. The removal tan is genius and made removal easy. I highly recommend this product!!
Joelle G.
I’ve tried cups before but never thought they were for me. Thanks to this platform I’ve realized I have a high cervix & that it’s ok to try out more then 1 disc or cup til you find something you like. I’ve used my HelloDisc for 1 cycle now. And even though I wish it was firmer I am loving the pull tab.
Rachel B.
Tried a few cups with no success. Was definitely surprised with how easy and comfortable this disc was. Insertion takes getting used to but removal was really easy! I have a high cervix and flipped worked best for me. Was so nice not to have to worry about my period all day and night.
Katherine D.
I’ve been using a cup for a while but always had a difficult time with removal. The disc is so much easier to insert and remove!
Amy F.
Absolutely love this disc! I’m a first time disc user and it was much easier to insert, remove, and clean than I anticipated. Wish I would have jumped on this train sooner!

I really love the concept of this disc. It didn't work for me. At night my flow is a lot heavier and so it wasn't mess free taking it out, the disc was full. During a heavy day it didn't last as long either. I had to go back to the nixit it's bigger and I never have leaks. I really wish that this cup had the same capacity because I love the mess free idea. Idk maybe I did something wrong but I didn't have any leaks until what I think it overflowed. I didn't like having to wake up because it was leaking at 4am. I really wish I had a lighter flow but I hope to try it again or I can use it on lighter days. Overall I know it's wonderful for lighter periods.

I've been using cups for several years now and decided to try discs. Cups sometimes suction to my dangly cervix which can be a pain to remove. I've tried a few different discs, but the removal was a nightmare. I can handle it being messy, but it was almost impossible to reach the discs and I had to get in some pretty interesting positions to remove them. Not at all public restroom friendly positions. I was interested in trying the Hello Disc for the removal tabs. The Lumma disc seemed like a great idea, but the removal string really feels like it's going to break off at some point. I received the Hello Disc just in time for my most recent period. My periods are quite heavy. I have to empty my large Lena cup every four hours on the first 3 days and then it becomes a lot lighter. Day 1: Insertion was a breeze. No need to make sure it's sealed. It just kind of slides into the correct position no need to fidget with it. At first I could feel the tabs in my vagina. I knew I could tuck them up out of the way, but since discs seem to get lost in me, I left them. Within 15 minutes, I no longer noticed them at all. I completely forgot that I was having a period, which never happens to me. I didn't check the disc until 10 hours later. Now removal was messy. Keep in mind I am a pretty heavy bleeder. I do not understand how this thing did not leak. Once I started to pull it down, (which was so easy the tabs feel so secure) blood was everywhere. My hand was covered. I was slightly disappointed, but that only lasted for a second because I was so impressed that I hadn't leaked. I still do not understand the physics of that. There was more blood in the toilet than the disc could of possibly held. However, my underwear were clean. 0 Leaks! I reinserted the cup and went to bed not worrying about leaks at all. I was only asleep for a few hours before having to start my day, but went ahead and emptied the disc just to see how it was holding up. Again the disc was full, but I removed it this time with very little mess. There was only a small amount of blood on my thumb and that was it. I was so impressed by this, I almost cried. Day 2 was a breeze. I set a timer on my phone reminding me to empty the disc every 3 hours and each time it was mess free. I was able to rinse it and reinsert it very quickly. The rest of my period was pretty much the same except as my period got lighted, I left the cup in for longer periods. I think I could easily leave it in for 8-12 hours without any leaks, but the removal would be a little messy for me. So, it was worth it for me to empty it more often to have a mess free removal. I'm so in love with this disc and I think it's going to really open the door for women who have a hard time with cups, but are really interested in having internal period protection. The Hello Disc is a game changer. I'm madly in love with it and I do not expect to ever use any of my other cups or discs again. I'm so happy with this purchase!

3 months ago I came across a tiktok from Periodnirvana, and bought my first cup. I did her quiz but I struggled to get a cup to work well, order the next cup recommended still no luck. Decided to order the hello disc she talked about so much. My period is too heavy to use anything the first day or 2, cups and discs leak (Or I gotta empty it hourly) but the rest of the days it worked perfect. I managed to get it shipped to !

This is the first menstrual disc I’ve tried prior to this I was a cup user, but now I’ve fully converted to a disc. I sleep naked and on my heaviest day with a cup I still gotta wear some period underwear but because the capacity of the disc is much bigger I was able to go commando with no problems. LOL
The flipped tab has definitely been the easiest for me with removal and insertion, the tab tucked is a little trickier but still easier than a cup imo. I also tried it when I had long nails and it’s definitely not a one finger job when taking it out with longer nails, but it still wasn’t too bad. Instead of hooking my finger into the tab I just pinched at the tab and pull lol. All in all this is an absolute game-changer!

I’m so glad I gave this disc I try. I could say this was one of the easiest periods I had in a long time.
I tried different cups through out the year of last year into this year and I always had a problem. The cups would leak and move around, I even had bad pains from the suction. I just couldn’t enjoy a cup like I wanted to.
I also tried 2 discs before my Hello disc and neither of them worked. I really thought I had to go back to wearing pads.
When I heard all the good things about the Hello Disc I had to give it a try and I’m happy I did. The pull tab is really a bonus because I don’t have to worry about the mess that comes with removing discs.
Once I put it in I didn’t even know it was there and I can wear it 8+ hours without any problems. I only used it once and I can’t wait to use it again !!!!

It’s my first cycle with hello disc and it’s a game changer. I feel like it’s the first disc that has actually fit well and the pull tab makes for really easy removal. My cervix changes height depending on my cycle and can sometime sit low. I have an very heavy flow (ex: 1 super tampon every 2 hours on my heaviest days) and it holds up better than other reusable products I’ve tried. When it’s overly full there can be a bit of a mess but that’s honestly just because of how heavy my flow is- I think if someone has a moderate flow there wouldn’t be a mess. The seal held up so well I didn’t realize how full it was!
For context, I’ve used: reusable disks (flex and soft disc), nixit, and lumma discs, and I’ve also used cups like the fun factory cups, lunette, and diva.
I also use thinx as my back up and have not had any leaks to outer garments. I also have a super sensitive bladder and can’t take a lot of internal pressure and hello disc fits really comfortably- it’s a bit more firm than the nixit but doesn’t give me any pelvic floor issues. I think the dip in the front of the disc helps it sit behind the pubic bone very comfortably. 10/10 really enjoy using it and would definitely pick up another one just to have a spare.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I was using the Flex Menstrual cup before I got the Hello Disc. While I overall liked the cup, I had to reposition it throughout the day after I would use the bathroom because it would often shift down. I don't have to do that AT ALL with the Hello Disc so I am overjoyed about that! It truly feels like nothing is there at all. I can exercise comfortably, which I could not always do with the cup. I'm still getting used to the insertion process - it's a little more difficult because the disc is softer than the cup so a bit tougher for me to get it started but seriously, I don't even care because it is so comfortable! Highly recommend!!

I was a hardcore cup user for 6ish years. After I had my son I wanted an IUD but was nervous to use my cup. Kim from period nirvana taught me about discs and my first was the Cora. I completely converted to discs but my only complaint was removal. It was always a bloodbath when Kim announced this disc I immediately backed it on kickstarter. I have used Cora, Saalt, Nixit and even Lumma. I still love Cora and Saalt but hello is where it’s at for me! I did struggle initially getting it in with a “dry run” but after I started using it for my period it goes right in and removal with it in the “flipped” position is perfect for me. I was worried because I found lumma and Nixit too big for me but that’s not an issue with Hello.
😊
I've been a Lena cup user prior to this, but the suction and small leaks every now and then were just not working out for me.
Changing to a cup, I was a bit worried becuase admittingly I lack knowledge of my own anatomy and was afraid that I would not be able to properly use this. I decided on the Hello disc knstead of the Nixit disc recommended to me by the quiz because the design seemed more appealing and the Nixit disc just seemed too huge to actually work for me.
Prior to my cycle, I practiced using the Hello disc and surprisingly I got a hang of it very quick. At first I wore it with the tab flipped, but now I wear it dropped because I personally don't notice it at all and it makes the removal much less messy and quick. I work at a school at the moment, and being able to move around and not worry about having a leak and etc is just so freeing. Now I don't have to dread the arrival of my cycle anymore!
Thank you for creating such an amazing product that uses non-gendered language to boot. It's so nice being able to shop for my cycle and not compromise the comfort of my own identity. I will be recommending this disc and this site to my other friends who would also appreciate the language usage of this product. ❤️

I LOVE the hello disc! I was a bit apprehensive as the videos said there was a learning curve but holy cow it was comfortable (and didn't leak!). The disc is a different experience than a cup but I think I'm a convert. If you aren't sure if a disc is for you, check out all of the great videos to show how to insert and remove it with little to no mess! I'm in love.
Wendy C.
I seriously really like this disc. I’ve used it for one period so far and I almost forgot I was on my period. No spotting and NO AUTO DUMPING. rarely had any spotting on my liners. The tab is super helpful to remove having long nails and not needing to hook onto the rim to take out.
Libra W.
I love the Hello Disc, I have 3, I love how easy it is to remove ... if a larger size is available to hold more only due to a heavy flow I am on board it is amazing and worth the Pre order wait

I have been using cups for 20 years. I previously tried discs with no success. I tried the disposable flex disc several times and it wouldn't unfold once inserted. I tried the cora disc, but it was too small. Then, thanks to social media, I found out I have a retroflexed cervix, and that makes discs more difficult to insert. There was a bit of a learning curve. It took a few days before I realized my pubic bone was much higher. But with a lot of patience, the hello disc is my new fav period product! Even when I had it in wrong, it still didn't leak. Zero bladder pressure! Love this so much! I'm so happy I am able to use a disc even with a retroflexed cervix.

I really wanted to like this disc but had too much trouble with insertion. I made the jump from tampons straight to discs via the disposable flex discs which work great for me but easier removal and less mess plus less impact were why I tried this disc; unfortunately it's just not firm enough to get in and I found it opened inside out multiple times. Plus it's slightly less messy but not so much that I wanted to keep working at trying to insert it.
Catherine A.
The Hello Disc is AMAZING. I have a high cervix, so I prefer a cup/disc with a loop to grab and this one is perfect. I used to use the Flex cup, but the loop broke and I wanted to look for something with a sturdier loop and no suction - the Hello Disc checks all of my boxes. It’s so comfortable and easy to put in and take out - and super easy to clean. Get this disc, it’s the best period product i’ve used
Kelly B.
Coming from a soft disc that is former, it is a bit of a learning curve for insertion. I cramped day one with the hello disc, but I think that may have been my own fault with the insertion issues. I would definitely recommend to anyone based on the versatility of this disc and love having a reusable option.
Christy E.
I can absolutely say that after more than 30 years of having periods the Hello disc is my Period Nirvana!
I was a cup user having used two brands in the 2 sizes offered by each brand. I was happy to have made the switch to cups having always been a pad user (never successful with tampons)but struggled with capacity, bladder pressure and urine stream interference. I never thought that after switching to cups I would experience that kind of "level up" again. But here we are, Hello disc is truly that absolute game changer for me.
I have a high cervix 90+mm. I have a relatively heavy but manageable flow. Using Hello disc gave me the first of many nights of restful sleep completely leak free! Hello disc lasts 8-10 hours for me without auto-empty and with auto-empty I get 12 hours!!! I wear the tab flipped for my comfort and ease of removal. Removal is easy and a dream without the suction of cups. Hello disc is easy to clean. It's soft silky texture and perfect firmness leaves it completely undetectable for me.
I recently broke my tailbone and Hello disc has made my periods easier to manage even through this injury.
I cannot express at all how thankful I am to have a product like this.
Thank you!
Emily S.
I put it in a few days before my period and it was horribly uncomfortable, and I couldn’t figure out how to tuck in the tab. But after I trimmed it, it was perfect- I had used soft disc/ flex disc before, and this stayed in place wayyy better and so far hasn’t leaked at all. I honestly forget I’m wearing it sometimes. My one tip would be if you’ve used something like flex disc or soft disc before and it worked well, don’t hesitate to trim the tab- you definitely don’t need the lower loop
Ada F.
It took me a few days but I'm so happy I didn't give up love everything about this disc. Once inserted correctly I had zero leaks, I couldn't feel it and I was able to remove it with 1 finger and not a drop of blood landed on my finger or hand simply magic. I wear it in the flipped position didn't have to bear down to reach the tab. This will definitely become my goldilocks my search for the perfect disc is finally done. Thank you to Kim D Rosa's, and Hello company for this innovative creation and for letting me find period nirvana finally in my fifties!
Kelly R.
I adore this disc! Easy to insert, and take out, it's comfortable and leakproof. I'm in love!

Absolutely amazing! I have tried other cups before, and never been able to make them work. The hello disc was so easy to use and I didn't have any problems!
Kendra A.
So easy to use! The tab makes removal a breeze. I always hesitated using a cup at work because of removal woes, but the hello disk is so simple and quick. Really happy with this purchase.
Soobin L.
It solved only problem of using disc, easy pull off. Perfect size open up well

This is the third style of menstrual disc I have used and it is by far the easiest (and cleanest!) to remove. I wear it with the tab flipped and it works perfectly for my medium-high cervix. It is so comfortable that I almost forget it’s there. I wore it for 12 hrs with no leaks, even on heavy days. I did experience some auto-dumping but not as much as I do with my other discs. Since the rim on the Hello disc is softer, I did have a harder time with insertion compare to the other styles I’ve used. But removal is so easy and clean compared to the others that the Hello disc will definitely be my first pick.

So I’ve been trying this disc for a week now, and I really really like it. It will probably take me more periods to see if I LOVE it, but it has been an absolute gem thus far.
I’ve tried 2 other brands of reusable discs. One of them absolutely did not work for me, and the other one worked for me, but I think it’s the tiniest bit too small, and frankly, a little too messy for my liking. I’ve had the least amount of problems with the Hello Disc.
It amazed me because I switched from the Hello disc to my favorite cup, and then back to the disc in one period because the Hello disc was actually more comfortable to me.
The ease of removal compared to other discs is astonishing. For me, it doesn’t readily auto dump, which I love because I hate auto dumping. The only issues I have with it is that trying to put it in with the tab in the flipped position hurts, and with the tab in the tucked position, it rotates to the point where I have to go digging for a while to find the tab, rotate it back, and then remove.
I highly recommend this for new and beginner disc users alike.

This is my second disc. The first one that I had was nixit which was a hit and miss with me. The hello disc is me second and only have using it two days I like it a lot better! Will recommend to anybody who is interested in using a disc!
Morgan H.
The Hello Disc is great! I first tried the Flex Disc which was way too big/firm for my preference and was honestly painful. Next I tried Cora and it was better, but hard to remove. The Hello Disc is my perfect disc and I personally enjoy wearing it flipped the most. It is easy to clean and insert because the tab is recessed rather than raised on the side. It does occassionally put pressure on my bladder, but that is a very minor side effect. Overall, it was worth the wait and will be my go-to disc!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PRODUCT I HAVE USED THUS FAR!!!!!! I have tried different types of discs and cups and nothing compares to this disc right here! I won't touch anything else for my period. First time using it with nails it was a breeze, as well as I usually have issues with leaking on my heavy day and this disc had no issues at all whatsoever took my problem day LIKE A CHAMP! I absolutely love this disc it is a godsend and I am so glad I purchased and will forever refer this to EVERYONE because it has changed everything for me! thank you thank you thank you!
Kara G.
I tried the Cora disc before this one (which is great but since I have a high cervix and it likes to turn in my body, it was a challenge). And this was the disc that I stuck with for the remainder of my period. It was easy to remove and clean off and my hand was a lot less messier than when I used the Cora disc.
One thing I will say is that there is a slight learning curve (that or I am not sure of my own grip) with inserting it. Since I am a thicker woman, inserting it on the toilet (when I have a heavy flow the standing method of insertion is not ideal) is a bit of a pain but once it is in, the disc slides into place without a problem.

Kickstarter Review of Hello Disc!
Day 1: I could not believe how easy it was to get into place. And I felt like the firmness was perfect! With Lumma, I felt like the rim didn't go back to a circle fully and tended to leak a bit. I was completely leak free until I went to use the bathroom and auto dumped. It felt like it didn't go back totally tucked (I'm sure this is just user error on my part) so I removed, rinsed, and decided to flip the tab. So far it feels perfect! Day 3 of my cycle is always a heavy/clotty day, so today being the first go at using the Hello Disc is a good way to put it through the trials straight away. I really do think with time and practice this will be my goldilocks! Kim, brava! The thought and care that has gone into this has really shined bright for me, and for so many!I can't imagine every other day being any less amazing than this first day. It's truly Period Nirvana for me!
Darlene Z.
I have tried TONS of different cups and discs over the years trying to find the right product for me (I have a low cervix and heavy flow) so backed this kickstarter when I saw that Kim was involved in the design process. This might finally be my goldilocks disc!
I was afraid that this disc wouldn't work for me, but it is just long enough and also firm enough that it fits behind the pubic bone and actually stays put (unlike another certain similarly sized much softer disc).
It was kind of hard for me to tuck the loops (and too uncomfortable to let them hang) but was very easy after I trimmed the second one. Works perfectly for me with just the one!
Ashley S.
This is amazing! I have tried so many cups without much success (always leaks), so when I saw this disc I was excited since there is a pull tab. I put it in for the first time and literally says ‘That’s it?!’. I was so used to struggling with my cups position etc but this disc just seemed to naturally fit into place!
Kate R.
I’ve tried 4 discs now, and while they’ve all worked for me much better than cups ever did, this disc far outdoes the other 3 I’ve used!
When I tried to use cups, the stems always bothered me, even when I cut them completely off, so I was sure that the tab on this disc would also bother me, but I don’t feel it at all! I am AMAZED. It also stays put while I wear it, which is not the case with other “notched” discs I’ve used. They all rotate inside of me, but this one doesn’t!
Something else I really love about this disc is how slick it is on the inside—it makes it so easy to clean!
Great job, Kim, and Hello team! We all needed this disc more than we knew!
Victoria P.
This disc is my goldilocks. I’m very sensitive down there, have advanced endometriosis, and a high cervix. I’ve tried many cups but either can’t find one soft enough or can’t reach it comfortably for removal. This disc is the first product that I’ve been able to wear without feeling it *and* had an easy time removing. I’m still getting the hang of it, and sometimes the “flipped” tab position will unflip while I’m shoving it into place, but I can still grab the loop and pull it out hassle free. I do find that I’m still getting the hang of putting it in properly so that it’s placed in a way I can’t feel it, and I haven’t been able to do it right the first time every time yet. But I believe I will get there. I’ve only had it for one cycle and the times that I have inserted it and placed it properly I’ve completely forgotten about it and worn it all day. I have a heavy flow and it doesn’t auto dump like my Lumma M did, which is a bonus!
Cris M.
I previously tried the lumma M and it was fine. I believe it was to small for me but I wanted to wait for the hello disc and I am so happy I did. Firstly, I put all of my trust in this disc from day one second one. I have an extremely heavy period and knew it wouldn’t last me 8 hours (nothing does) but I have to say, it held up pretty well. Virtually no leaks and I auto dump only on a bowel movement, which for me is ideal. I trusted this thing so much that I even went in to a hot tub with it and had so much peace of mind! I of course am now shouting good praises about this thing from the roof tops to anyone that will listen. The removal tab for me is revolutionary. I wear it dropped because my cervix is super high, so I that I actually can not find it. Having the tab makes removal super easy and fast. I wouldn’t say removal is completely mess free but you do have a lot LESS mess. I can’t wait for the disc to be released in additional colors, I’ll be getting one for my daughter when she starts her cycle.
Jess U.
The removal tab on this disc is leagues better than the Lumma string, which I originally thought was a godsend. You don't need to fuss with tucking it in and its so much easier to reach! The material is similar to the cora disc and is the perfect volume for easy insertion and blood collection. I had zero slips/spills my first time using this disc, and that has never happened with the other discs I've tried (at least 5 others). My only complaint is that the color stains easily and isn't cute to look at after a period, but that happens to all of them lol. Really hope that the exclusive Period Shop color option comes true!
Ashley T.
It was just perfect! Slightly smaller yet stiffer than a certain competitor. Inserted no problem and tucked itself right into place. Lots of options to wear the pull tab. I liked the double under which made it a breeze to remove. Wore it tucked for easy, mess free play time. Held firm through the toughest HIIT workout and hit a single leak! Cleaned up really nicely after a quick boil. Highly recommend.
Destinie O.
This disc actually works for me! I tried the softdisc in the past and could not get it to sit right without leaking and had a hell of a time getting it out. I thought discs just weren't for me, but then I saw Kim talk about this, and I wanted to give it a try again. I am a plus size person, so insertion was like a yoga session (I find one foot up on the toilet or tub works best for me). I was worried removal would be challenging, but the tab (in the flipped position) was easily reachable and with no suction, it came out with no problem and no mess. I love it!
Maria B.
I supported the Kickstarter and got my disc some days ago. I started to use it yesterday night before going to sleep and the insertion was a breeze, it was very comfortable as well and you can barely feel the tab (I think I let it drop down), so far so good. During the day I barely feel it and barely think of oh if my disc moves/rotate it may leak, like it has happened to me before with the Lumma large and medium. The size of the hello disc was perfect for me, thank god I did not give up on my quest to find the right fit for me. Thank you Kim and Hello, I'm super grateful for this product!
